We where staying in Robin Hoods bay and called here for lunch. We took it and sat on the beach front. The chip with battered sausage with curry sauce went down a treat.

Went here today with my wife. We have been here for a week and have kept wanting fish and chips but some places are shut due to time of year and others very expensive. So today at robin hoods bay we were eagerly anticipating the fish and chips at mariondale. We both went for well done haddock and chips. At... More

Once a year we go to Robin Hood's Bay with friends for the weekend and on the Saturday night we go and get Fish & Chips. Without fail, the young men in there welcome us with warm smiles as if we were weekly regulars. They remember everything on our mixed order and provide entertainment asking what CD track we would... There are several Chippies in Whitby that are high up there in my top 5 but this place based on our visit is the No 1 on our travels. Hidden away down the bottom close to the seafront lies this gem of a place serving up the best batter & the most juicy, thick, fresh, tasty Cod I've had in... More

Had fish & chips here on 21st January. They were excellent. The batter was crispy and not squidgy which is how I like it.

One of the few places to be consistyently good for over a decade. It is even open on New Year's Eve which is a winner. It's all just very good indeed with nothing to detract from the quality and atmosphere.

One of the lads used to come here when he was younger so we persuaded our driver to call in on our way home from a great weekend in Whitby. The fish was massive and so tasty, I can only imagine what the jumbo cod is like so I think I'll have a go at it next time. Perfect end... More
