This place used to be fantastic, what happened? The staff appear to be trying hard, but it's not the restaurant it used to be. Undercooked pastry, one real ale and a collection of very noisy locals at the bar where we were eating made it...More

Nice ales at the bar and plenty of choice of Gina and other drinks which got the evening off to a good start. In terms of ambience and a bit of missing style: no fire lit in main bar which would have made the whole...More

This is a nice pub with a good atmosphere and pretty good service though the loos could do with an update, though the loos are not the focus of this review. The two of our starters were soup, not too hard to get wrong but...More

Have eaten here many times and I have found the staff accommodating, warm and friendly. The wine list is quite astounding which matches the quality of the food. The burger and chips is a must as it's inexpensive and tastes so good - it isn't...More

The Snooty Fox is a traditional village pub and restaurant serving fresh, homemade food as well as fine wines and ales. It is situated in Lowick,Northamptonshire. The menu is anything but traditional pub grub. Whilst the cuisine is British through and through, the flair and imagination poured in to each dish puts the food on another level. Diners will be delighted with dishes such as pan seared fillet of sea bass on a bed of wilted spinach and served with a shellfish bisque and tempura coated samphire grass; wild mushroom, red onion and dolce latte cheese tart served with courgette ribbons and sun blushed tomatoes and roasted duck breast served with spring greens, raspberry sauce and a balsamic reduction as well as a delicious selection of steaks. The Snooty Fox is highly recommended if you are looking for hearty yet refined British cooking with idyllic views of the countryside.
