Just returned from spending a night at the ship inn. Our room was lovely and comfortable and really clean. The location was fab and on a beautiful street next to the shops and some of the lovely sites the island has to offer! the food in the bar/restaurant was delicious and the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. Couldn't of... More

Made our first trip to Holy Island with friends and it was a fantastic experience with beautiful, peaceful surroundings and welcoming people. Particularly Andy and Sophie at their cosy inn with a wide selection of beers, comfortable homely rooms and absolutely amazing locally sourced food. If you want any information on the island, what to do and where to go... More

From arriving on the island we felt relaxed and contented the island itself is a beautiful place to be. We were advised to book as the restaurants can get full quickly as meals are only served between 6 and 8. Our first night on the island we went to the ship. The food was fantastic loved the lamb tagine the... More

Booked for one night in room 3. Highly recommend. The bathroom was lovely, very spacious and the bedroom itself didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly and we really were made to feel one of the family. This is a proper cosy English pub set in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The evening menu is traditional... More

Good friendly pub with homely feel. Log fire and good beer. Near to the end of the main road through the village.

We have just enjoyed a two night stay. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The food was good and our needs for gluten free and vegetarian were met and seen as a challenge the staff wanted to satisfy. The room was warm and comfortable and also had a good wifi signal. We have no hesitation... More

Stopped for lunch and the stove had just been lit and the bar was warm and welcoming. The service was efficient and friendly and the food clearly freshly prepared and tasty and the chips dry and perfectly cooked. This place gets plenty of visiting trade and I would guess that most people only visit once while they visit the island... More

We visited the Ship Inn to thaw out from the cold winds of Holy Island in January. The welcome could not be faulted, a cheery greeting from the proprietor and a blazing fire. We were barely in time to order food but we were willingly obliged by the lady in the kitchen. The menu was basic Pub Grub, not really... More

Kathleen M you have selected the wrong establishment for the following reasons: 1. We do not have any female chefs in our establishment or any female staff on waiting or bar duties. 2. We do not offer a BLT on our menu at any time. With these facts in mind would you kindly review the other establishments in the village... More
