They do food at lunchtimes but not evenings which is a shame. However, if you are not after food then they have a good selection of drink and service nice coffee and tea. Not expensive, but more average in prices compared to other places in Witney

There is a very extensive menu and I can't think of anything that is missing. One of us had a cream tea, two had sandwiches and one had fish cakes. The portions are very generous and the food was without doubt very good. Everyone around us seemed equally happy. Having said that, the scones are a bit "skinny" and tended... More

Popped in for lunch, tasted like Sainsbury's basics, I know because as a student it's all I eat. Was hoping for a bit of a change. Shame. The boss lady was rude to her staff, making me as a customer feel very uncomfortable, there's no need to act like that to anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if this time next... More

Called in here today for the first time, it certainly won't be the last! We chose one regular and one big breakfast, each came with a drink, I had coffee the OH had tea. I asked for hot milk with mine and it came piping hot. Our breakfasts were delicious, the quality was first rate, good ingredients and perfectly cooked.... More

As I've worked here i wouldn't recommend due to the family ripping people off I don't hold a grudge but all your meals ur eating is all sainsbury value own brand and they charge you double the price nothing in there is made fresh so think twice before eating in this place if you like paying high prices for value... We decided to go to the Royal Oak for a few drinks on New Year's Eve. We had the Swordfish beer and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the premium pricing at £6.25 for a pint and a half. However, our enjoyment didn't survive the third round when my wife opted for a Becks Blue alcohol-free beer. This time the bill for... More

We saw that breakfast was on offer at this old pub and could not resist going through the doors. The landlord and landlady were so friendly and attentive. The chef is the daughter of the landlords. Chef looked great in her brand news red wellington boots. She implored me not to mention The wellingtons on this site! The breakfast was... More

It's a shame that this pub doesn't have a Sunday menu, as I am sure with the standard of food that they serve on a lunch time they would be a sell out. Please pay a visit on a week day you won't be disappointed. the service is pretty good too.

Thank Pat P
