On visiting my family we go to Ye Olde Boot Inn for lunch and have always had excellent tasty meals. The staff ae always very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely atmosphere here and it is always impeccably clean. Plenty of parking too. Certainly recommend their lunches.

Great pub atmosphere with very good food. Good car parking with the Whittington Castle just across the road.

This was my first visit to The Boote. At the bar I asked for a low alcohol cider, a drink I have had before when I know I shall be driving home later. Not only was I told that there was no such thing by the barmaid but she said it in such a sneering way I felt humiliated. I... More

We use this establishment as our default location. Always of a reasonable standard if a little pricey for good quality pub food. Having been disappointed with the nearby canalside eatery we diverted to The Boot and had a lovely well cooked, good quality meal. The welcome was good, waitresses were friendly and had a smile. The food arrived promptly. Really... More

This pub was ideal for us as it is next door to the fitzwarine House where we stayed. The food was very good large portions and friendly staff.

A really nice pub. We went there for lunch today. the food was good and served quickly, with a smile. The surroundings are good - some interesting features in the pub. there is a lovely tiled floor in the main entrance. the pub is opposite the picturesque Whittington Castle - lovely, surrounded by water with ducks and swans in abundance.... Very nice Sunday lunch. Excellent 2 course value. Calamari starter was really tasty, light crisp batter rather than the ubiquitous ready frozen thick crumb covering. Roast beef lunch and vegetables were good - just would have rather had a couple of thinner slices of meat than one thick. Good service and good quality.

We always eat here while staying nearby. The place is a little treasure, the food excellent, choices wide and the service exemplary. I had the ham & eggs which was yummy, served with peas and chips, true comfort food. Do call in for a wonderful experience.
