We have been coming here for nearly 7 years now and I always forget to put a review on but if I could give this place 6 stars I would! It’s defiantly red star status! The food is lovely, the staff are amazing, the rooms...great and the view is incredible! I always recommend this place to everyone and will continue to do so. It’s a big thank you to the staff, who are always lovely and accommodating!More

Tynycornel is only 20 minutes by car from my home, so it’s somewhere I always enjoy visiting for a meal with friends. Today was such an occasion. It’s a comfortable restaurant, our lunch was tasty and we enjoyed ourselves. We were served by two people...- a female who was pleasant and friendly - and a male who seemed totally uninterested in both his job and in us. Not a single smile, no friendly greeting , just “Are you ready to order ?” I came across this person on a previous visit, thought that maybe he was having a bad day, and forgave him but, no, this is obviously his demeanour - unwelcoming and disinterested.More

Ate here twice while on holiday in the area, first for Sunday lunch which was excellent, came again on our last night and again enjoyed a wonderful meal. Good quality food cooked with care. Staff are all lovely as well, they check you are happy...without intruding on your meal. Will definitely return and would consider staying if not booked into self catering.More

Stopped here for an early lunch on a quiet Saturday as it is on the way back from Castell Y Bere (highly recommended if you like visiting castle ruins!) and is dog friendly. We were able to sit right by the window and enjoy the...stunning lake view. The service and the food was great - I had a falafel ciabatta which came with chips and my husband had the bobotie, which we've never seen on a menu before (South African dish). They also boxed up some of their Welsh cakes for us to take away, which were also delicious.More

4 dogs, dogs pee, and dog smells. Astonishing. Whining, barking and messing. Hey ho, that's yet another place for us to avoid. Ps this was inside on their lovely wooden floor with their nice furniture. Why do premises let themselves down at the detriment of...their other patrons? It's weird, but they do. Can you imagine being booked in for a break of a few days during the Winter when you can't really sit outside?More

It was a busy Thursday afternoon and we were taken in to the conservatory to eat. As it was the end of October it was cold but there wasn't a single radiator on either in the conservatory or the restaurant/lounge area. I asked if we...could move to sit in the restaurant/lounge area and we were accommodated. However I had to keep my coat on to eat. They have an attractive wood burning stove in the middle of the room but only have a few burning candles for heat! We have visited this hotel many times as we are fairly local but have never seen the fire lit; summer or winter.....We decided to have soup, to warm us up, and it was tasty. However our choice was also governed by the fact that all the meals come with chips which not everyone wants. It is such a beautiful spot and an attractive building but the cold is not welcoming!More

Family Sunday lunch, beautifully cooked and presented, between the 5 of us we had the venison (heavenly) the beef, lamb and salmon. All the accompanying veg was cooked to perfection. Deserts were equally good, prompt service, well looked after. So lucky to have this as...our local!!More
