The food & service was very good, & the staff were very flexible when 2 of our party were delayed. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walking after the meal.

The place is surprisingly good for being the only food and drinks supplier for tourists at Tarr Steps. You can stop here for a pint, pick from a list of on-the-go sandwitches to take with you or have a lunch after returning from your walk. The service is more than adequate for the crowd of diners, and the Tarr Burgers... More

Stunning back drop let down by over priced mediocre food. Pork belly w/ noodles at £15 sounded lovely on the menu but was very fatty and bland. Average burger. Kids meal also expensive for what it was. Wished we had made our own picnic and sat on the river bank. Don't waste your money.

Good food, efficient service, nice atmosphere. Good idea to book beforehand as it can get quite busy.

Great tea and coffee great service great food great view of the stone age bridge and the river .bit of a walk from the car park so be warned. But well worth the effort. You can even have a short walk about an hour from 1 side of the river to the other by bridge. Great dog friendly area and... More

Found this place quite by accident on a day out - what a great find. Quirky and quaint. Great food, friendly staff and a great location in a wonderful setting. We had lunch of steak sandwiches (cooked to perfection, slightly pink) and cheesy jumbo chips. Very nice, not greasy, generous portions - good value for money. Will go again to... More

16 Feb After a very nice long walk, taking in the Tarr steps, we decided to stop and have a bite to eat and a pint 😊 The Tarr farm restaurant is rather good and very nice inside, in fact it is nice and cosy with a lovely log fire roaring at one end. Food was good as was the... More

We had enormous scones with Devonshire clotted cream. Service was friendly and polite. The only thing we'd hope for on our next visit would be home-made jam.

What a great place- we went in February- but I couldn't get the app to change it- any way they had a deal on, because it was the end of the shooting season. Really good value watch out for them- none this year I see- but valentines falls in half term- so to be expected. Room was clean, furnishings very... More
