Visited the Hart on several occasions over summer\autumn so thought it's about time I gave it a review. The Hart is a pub run by the community with a mixture of volunteers and paid staff running things. The bar stocks several interesting beers and ales not just your usual Carling, John Smith's etc. Staff are friendly and helpful and there... More

Staying locally so tried this place on a Monday evening. Chose this pub because it allowed well-behaved dogs in the bar and pool room only (not main restaurant) which suited us fine. I had the trio of pies (was offered this only because they had run out of my first choice 'pie of the day' which looked great on other... More

We visited here after booking. When we arrived I said we had a booking, the barman asked us to choose a table, so really, we didn't have to book at all, because nothing had been done to reserve a table. I had sirloin which had no taste and lots of fat, husband had trio of pies, which he said was... More

Although not a 5 star restaurant with gourmet food but has great charm and enthusiasm from the people who worked there from the Bar to the Kitchen and everything in between. We went there to join some friends for a Sunday Lunch but they don't do a Sunday lunch but the Chef volunteered to cook anything off the menu for... More

This B&B was the perfect stop-over for our two day trip to Alton Towers. The room was perfect, with a nice view of the villages main high street. It was comfortable and cosy. The breakfast laid on the next day was brilliant, a full English to start any day! The nicest touch came when I stupidly left my MacBook behind.... More

This was a last minute after work decision and I'm so glad I picked it. The decor is very sophisticated and you really feel as though your dining in luxury. The staff are attentive and friendly, the food absolutely delicious and the prices reasonable. You're getting what you pay for. All the little touches make your evening more memorable like... More

Amazing food and amazing service had by all the staff. Me and my boyfriend hadn't stayed in the area before so were unsure as to where was good to eat. We were recommended this lovely pub by the b&b owner that we were staying at. What a great recommendation. The food was lovely and well worth the money. If we... More

We visited alton towers just recently and needed somewhere to stay, we found this place by its good reviews and decided to checkin here. After arriving we was greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our rooms, and the rooms are very spacious, and comfortable, after we settled in we came down and had a few drinks, spoke... More
