We were two couples on our journey home after a short break in Staffordshire. We decided to stop off for brunch at Barton Marina on our way home . There were a number of cafes/restaurants and we chose The Waterfront pub. Breakfast was being served till 12 noon so it was ideal for us. We all ordered the Full English... More

We have visited Barton Marina many times and have never been very impressed with the service, staff attitudes or ambience of the Waterfront. We visited today and took advantage of the two for one offer on the pizzas. This offer starts at 4.00pm so had a couple of coffees as we were a little early. The very pleasant young lady... More

On arrival we were told there was no room for 3 diners in the restaurant and that we'd have to try to find a table in the bar. No effort was made to let us know if a table would be free in the restaurant any later. Luckily we found a table in the bar just as we were thinking... More

My wife and I had a cooked breakfast here on Easter Monday (17/4/17). We were sat in the very pleasant conservatory area overlooking the marina, made even more pleasant because of the warm sunlight through the glass . The staff were all very polite and courteous and served us with a smile. Whilst not the biggest Full English breakfast I've... More

The best thing about this place was the decor. It's really nice inside. Shame about the menu (very limited), the quality of the food (distinctly average at best) and the staff (mostly disinterested). We were also forced to sit outside as we happened to have a 5 month old with us and this is apparently banned from the inside.

Food was mediocre and worth 3 stars but restaurant rules and staff attitude very bad. Our family was coming quite a distance to meet each other and we found out that the restaurant has a rule of no children under 5 inside. Feeling a bit like I was trying to bring non-guide dogs into the restaurant we took our grandchildren... More

Popped into here for refreshment. What an awful experience. The barman was about the only helpful member of staff. Despite paying £20 for a bottle of wine & pub having approx 70% tables empty we were asked to perch on some stools around the bar area. As luck would have it we just missed the last stool so we mentioned... More

We opted to eat at the Waterfront having done a 10 mile walk in the near vicinity. We were seated in a clean and well lit conservatory like room overlooking the Marina. Although the menu appeared a little sparse in choice, we both opted for the pork roast dinner. When received it was a decent sized portion of extremely tasty... More

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE, SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHERE THEY AT LEAST CARE AND WANT YOUR CUSTOM.. Lunch today and what appallingly slow service and limited menu choice. Just what is going on at this place, this is the 2nd time we've been here and had again experienced a very poor and slow service, so no change here,... More
