We enjoyed our visit to 99 Station Street - we were made very welcome by the owner and the food was very good indeed. Sadly we were the only customers - I guess there are not too many "high end" diners in Burton on a Wednesday night in April. A shame really because the restaurant is well appointed, with high... I'm not a connoisseur of food by any means and this was completely for my chef boyfriend as a treat. Over priced and serious lack of atmosphere and unattentive staff is the best way to describe. Having to request a steak knife with a steak is a bit of a joke really isn't it? My boyfriend was always going to... More

The food was good here although we had to wait rather a long time for it. The room, however was rather gloomy and the service diffident. The place needed to be more cosy and atmospheric. The view out of the window was onto derelict shops - perhaps blinds or curtains would help!

Booked a meal for 4 with friends. Warm friendly greeting met us on arrival and made to feel special on arrival. Decor is really nice in this narrow but deep dining area. Service and food was excellent, great wine selection and the three courses were just enough. Was reasonably priced for fine dining and well worth a visit, an excellent... More

Great to visit the wonderful establishment again. The quality of every course is wonderful and being a Coeliac, it was great to see how sensitive they are to gluten free requirements. Ham Hock starter was so good I could have eaten another 4. Steak was perfect and desert one of the best I have had in a long time! Very... More

99 Station Street has become our venue of choice for excellent dining. We have been several times and I can honestly say that we have never had a disappointing course: the chef's skill and creativity is outstanding, this man has a Michelin stars instinct for putting together flavours and textures and last night's meal was no exception. Combine this with... More

We visited 99 Station Street for a belated valentine's meal after we were unable to attend on Valentine's Day itself due to childcare commitments. We had been really attracted by the Valentine's menu, and brilliantly the restaurant put it on for us especially 😊 Our food was exquisite... we upgraded from sirloin to fillet steaks and they were cooked to... Service was very good, staff were polite even to the point of opening the door for us as we left which is a nice little touch. The food is average at best. I had the rib eye steak which was not to bad a little on the small side when paying nearly £18 for it. Found it bizarre that couldn't... More

We visited again on the Friday evening. The restaurant was fairly busy. Nice easy atmosphere. Food excellent: Smoked haddock potato risotto with a soft hens egg yolk....yummy. Salmon with smoked salmon was cooked perfectly. Desert....well orange and whiskey drizzle cake warm and soft with raspberry oat and cream pot. Gorgeous. Never fails. We had a lovely meandering evening. Ohh and... More
