My husband took me here on Saturday night. We both really loved it, the food was fantastic and the rose wine was delicious!!! staff very friendly. My only negative comment would be i was supprised to find you had to pay extra for chips with your steak! never come across this at a restaurant before. that is why i have... More

We visited about 12 months ago and the food and service were great. How different this visit. Very cold atmosphere although several people eating. We went on a groupon deal and felt as if we were treated differently. Goats cheese starter just like primula out of tube no bread or toast offered. Chicken overcooked pork sauce tasted and looked like... More

Visited this restaurant at the weekend. Waited almost an hour for our order to be taken! The portion of the salmon starter was ridiculously small. The soup was the best with a bread roll. The mains were just ok given the various awards this restaurant has received in the past. The pork was dry and there was a dish of... More

Went today with friends for lunch and had a really great welcome from a lovely lady that was going to serve us. There was a great choice of wine which was really reasonably priced and great quality. The menu was fantastic with good choices.l have to say it's the best meal l have had for a very long time......the chef... More

Went for dinner at 99 Station street on the recommendation of fellow TripAdvisor reviewers. It's a cute little place, nicely decorated and welcoming. The service is friendly and attentive and the menu is a decent mix of nice British fayre with a smattering of veggie options. My partner had the baked egg and I had the ham hock. The ham... More

We came on a Groupon which can, sometimes, mean there's not much choice. We found the menu had plenty of choice and that we each tried different things. The food was excellent (the mushroom soup was gorgeous). The service was spot-on (there when needed but not obtrusive). The wine was reasonably priced. We've been before and keep saying we should... We chose to eat here because it was the only noted eatery in the Michelin and had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. It lived up to all previous comments - the food was superb, the service good, parking is not too difficult and the situation of the restaurant is unprepossessing but once in the restaurant the quality of the food... Located a stones throw from the railway station, the restaurant sits unassuming in a row of small shops. No parking on site, but there are side streets with no restrictions after 7pm nearby. Don't judge a book by it's cover as once inside, the locally sourced food is very good. Started with "Baked Egg with crumbled Stilton braised leeks char... More

Again another fantastic visit, great owner very friendly and knowledgeable Had the baked egg to start with which was sublime, leak and peppers cooked with cream and grated stilton with the egg and a still runny yoke !. The pork main course was lovely with a small faggot and lots of vegetables. All cooked to perfection.

Visited 99 Station Street for the first time for Saturday lunch. The restaurant is relatively small and narrow and has a nice cosy ambiance. We had a Groupon voucher and this entitled us to three courses from the summer menu. We had the chicken liver pate and a goats cheese and beetroot salad to start which were both well presented...
