On 30th July I held my 21st birthday party here from 3-late with a mix of friends and family attending. The staff at The Alma were amazing! The food they put on was so lovely and the landlady even checked in with me before to see what sort of food we were after. A few members of my family are... More

New Landlord is keeping the real ales as good as one could wish for. Now Wadworth 6X is available & a fantastic pint. Great welcome from Stevie-Ann when you walk in the door & all of the locals make you most welcome. Sunday roasts are fantastic, great value & top quality food. Nothing is too much trouble for Matthew &... More

New owners sine last visit but the welcoming atmosphere has not changed, females on their own are not judged but made to feel welcome. Food very well cooked and they cater for us who have a small appetite 😄. Will be going back again with or without friends

Enjoyed yet another excellent lunch cooked by Sharon, and the beer was as usual in perfect condition. A lovely friendly pub which is always a pleasure to visit.

Made to feel welcome & at home as soon as you walk through the door, great friendly atmosphere from all of the 'locals'. Food is fantastic at a very reasonable price. Sharon, the Landlady, caters for parties, wakes, etc at silly cheap prices & puts on a wonderful spread. As a real ale drinker, I can say, there's not a... More

We had lunch at the Alma today, it was very quiet with only 4 other customers in the bar and they were getting the restaurant ready for a function this evening. However we were greeted warmly, given the menu which was fine, then the lady who does the cooking came out, Christine and said there was also omelettes available with... More

Description
The Alma is now under new management and Stevie and Matthew are looking forward to meeting both new and old customers. The aim is to continue serving a good range of real ales, lagers, ciders and wines for you to enjoy. We are a traditional village local pub, dog friendly with a beer garden and children's play area. We have started serving Sunday roast dinners, which are available from midday until 4:30 pm, and we will be providing a lunchtime snack menu in the near future.
