Had a lovely meal with family and friends at this fab pub. Roast was tasty, hot and plentiful. Puddings were gorgeous, esp the crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Won't hesitate to come back again and would highly recommend.

We came here for Sunday lunch, as the reviews were very helpful 👍 and a bonus was that we got a deal on Groupon. The place was very charming and had that old fashioned country pub look. The greeting and service was welcoming and warming...☺️ and the food was absolutely gorgeous. We would definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to visit again 😀More
Went to this pub on the basis of the reviews for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was fine and it was not too busy. However, the service was slow. 2nd round of drinks I had to go and remind them about. We all ordered a roast....The portion sizes were good but the quality wasn't that great. Yorkshire puds tasted odd and some of the veg a bit bland. All in all a mediocre experience. The staff came and asked if everything was OK and yes it was just ok........................... Staff looked bored to be honest.More
I'm not normally one to leave a review, but after this meal me and my partner just had for lunch I had to! Honestly, as we sat down, we didnt have much hope.. menu was very small, not alot of options.. especially for vegetarians however,...it was honestly one of the best meals we have ever had. I had the vegetarian lasagne, was amazing and my partner had the oak burger, he was amazed that it is now the best burger he's ever had (and he ALWAYS gets a burger) 12/10 Absolutely amazing, compliments to the chefs. Thank youMore
Just sat and watched a customer with a young child try to scam the staff He walked in stood by the ladies wc After no more than 5 minutes he walked over to the meet and greet area and started abusing a bar man Screaming...and shouting He was obviously trying to get a free meal The barman and the manager diffused the situation Well done staff He’s a local scam artist apparently that has tried it beforeMore

I had a lovely lunch here yesterday, the food was excellent, and the staff were really attentive and helpful. There was no problem for one of us to have a starter as her main course, and we were even allowed cream as well as custard...on our puddings! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pub to my friendsMore
This pub is my local and I visit quite often. I have tried many different dishes on their menu and all are very good indeed. Steak Wednesday is alway a triumph and consistently ranks high on the best steaks I’ve had. The staff are very...friendly and always looking to go the extra mile when serving. All in all a great pub, lovely food and relaxed atmosphere- what more could you want!More
Have used this pub before always found it lovely . Food good have eaten a roast here and it was nice. We went in January for a late lunch on a groupon deal , I feel that the roast was over cooked not much meat...and hard potatoes I feel that if we had gone earlier it would have been a lot nicer . Would not go back .More
We loved our recent visit here, using the groupon voucher deal which was excellent value for money for 4 people. We were sat next to a roaring open fire, perfect on a cold wet Sunday in February! Service was friendly and efficient and our roast...dinners (we had turkey and the nut roast) was delicious, well presented and a great portion size. A great new find and we’d highly recommend.More
