Easy drive from Hampshire for an affordable and delicious Sunday Roast with a beautiful view from the large garden. Friendly and safe service. Thank you very much. Will return when things open again.

Today we had a very enjoyable lunch at The Royal Oak. Sadly it was very quiet but the landlord made a great effort to ensure all was well with us, seating us by a roaring fire. The duck breast was very tasty and cooked to...pink perfection. The scotch egg starter was just the right level of gooey in the middle. Lovely crumble for dessert, the smaller portion but very plentiful. All in all, highly recommended.More

I visited back in March and found the team here to be very accommodating, well organised and the food was delicious. There is a great positive feel in this pub and I wholeheartedly recommend visiting when you can.

Myself and two friends went for Sunday lunch and found it very mediocre , only enough roast beef for a small sandwich ,asked by waitress how we would like the meat, chose medium rare turned up well done anyway what there was of it yesterdays...reheated roast potatoes , badly cooked parsnips and carrots some indeterminate vegetable sludge the sort of meal that you would get in a factory canteen . I have been to he Royal oak before and have always had a good reasonable meal before ,their must be a muppet on the loose in the kitchen, bar staff nice enough but a bit dizzy didn't know how to handle my complaint at all, they need a bit of training, but first of all get rid of the cookMore

The food at The Royal Oak is spot-on with big great portion sizes and an extensive menu ...The Chicken Schnitzel and Vegetarian Lasagna are personal favourites! The pub has a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of parking and a beer garden at the...rear. They have also adapted well to the new COVID Safety Measures with enhanced hygiene procedures and they promote track & trace when you enter.More

We visited this pub after a day at Birdworld as it’s only a mile away, we were greeted by the jovial And friendly landlord who showed us to our table, whilst it was too hot to eat outside the tables in the bar area were...much cooler.... the atmosphere was lovely even though it was relatively quiet for a Sunday afternoon... we ordered the beef roast which was served on time and piping hot, the beef was cooked to perfection and the trimmings were equally as good too.... we were tempted into the summer fruits pudding with whipped cream for dessert which was lovely, you could tell it was hand made and home cooked, all in all we can highly recommend The Royal Oak as a place to eat and drink. The service was 2nd to none and the staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they were always smiling. Well done guys 👍More

Enjoyed an ‘Eat out’ special. Beautifully tender steaks and able to dine out in the large garden area. Great COVID precautions in place. Definitely recommended.
