Three of us had an evening meal here and despite it being busy the service was prompt and courteous. The food was really excellent, can particularly recommend the Calamari starter and the Liver & Bacon. Portion size was spot on, staff brilliant, just cannot fault it. Definitely going back !

Last came here 12 years ago. Said we wouldn't come back. This time, we'd gone to the Queen's Head for Sunday lunch but they weren't serving food so wondered to the Inn on the Pond as a last resort. It was busy. Fair enough. But over an hour to get our food. Not good enough. We'd finished our bottle of... More

I can't fault a great pub. The food and service have always been great - even when we asked for sandwiches outside in the middle of winter. Good choice of ales. Perfect pub - my new favourite.

We went here spur of the moment on Saturday early evening. We have driven past on many occasion but it looked inviting with lots of tables outside and had heard good reviews on food recently. We chose to sit in the bar although a table in the restaurant was offered. The menu was very good with lots of variety and... More

Last minute decision to dine out, chose the 'pub'. Not busy on this Monday in April, but not empty for a dull damp evening: just enough people to make a nice atmosphere, & keeping the staff working. Nice surroundings, staff pleasant & efficient. Drinks good but on the pricy side. Food ok, 3 of us had cod & chips; we... More

Lovely setting, family and dog friendly. Some good options on the menu. In particular the sausage sandwich with wholegrain mustard served with a jug of onion gravy. The place was slightly understaffed on our visit but the food was worth waiting for. Special mention goes to the maple syrup, black cherry, bread and butter pudding. It was to die for.... More

Never have I received such awful customer service by the young barmaid I did here. Everything was an effort for her, would definitely avoid. Food nothing special either

I consulted Tripadvisor about the pub before I paid a visit only to read the last review, by a recent customer, which was derogatory and mainly directed towards the bar staff. I nearly didn't go but I'm pleased I did. The food was excellent, the choice of beers was good and above all the bar and waiting staff were very... More

Visited on a very hot Sunday lunchtime with family. We were new to the area and just google searched for somewhere with a garden. There are several bench style tables with umbrellas to the front of the property on a very pleasant grassed area adjacent to a pretty pond, also next to the local cricket green. The pub has a... Came with daughters and grandson on a lovely, sunny Sunday afternoon. The mood was immediately spoilt by the sullen young woman behind the bar. I asked her to replace my drink, which she had spilled, and was accused of being rude. Was a bit shocked by her attitude, which I found rude and disrespectful. Lovely location, and good food, let... Description
Situated adjacent to Nutfield Cricket pitch with fantastic views over Nutfield Marshes, The Inn on the Pond is a quintessental English Surrey country pub. The Inn on the Pond, as a traditional pub, offers a large bar area for drinking as well as a separate dining room and bar dining area. A log burner and open fireplace create a cosy pub atmosphere on winters days. The team in the kitchen create good pub menus of freshly cooked and locally sourced food which is served both indoors and outside by the pond. We are open for lunch and dinner througout the week, and all day on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. As the Inn is situated on the main cycle routes near Redhill and ajacent to the Nutfield Marshes Conservation area it is also popular with walkers and cyclists - both of whom are welcome. In fact we have our own wellie wall! There is a large car park to the side of the pub. Your host is Penny Appel and she and her team look forward to welcoming you.
