Four of us visited the Bow Window today and had a very welcoming experience and very good food. We have lived in Middleton for over 15 years and yet this was the first time we have visited. We took my brother and sister-in law there today and had a charming lunch. It was quite a "retro" experience but the food... More

Had Sunday self-service lunch - nice with good variety and good service. Not brilliant but very good value - important unless you are rich!

We visited The Bow Window on recommendation of our neighbours. We were not at all disappointed. We enjoyed a three course Sunday roast lunch at a very reasonable price. Hot fresh food served promptly, with a smile from the most considerate and attentive owner. Quintessentially British, yet distinctly diverse, and quaintly quirky, this is a little gem in our neighbourhood... More

My partner and myself popped in here for a pot of tea and some lunch whilst out for a walk. We were greeted with a warm friendly smile and nothing was to much bother for the gentleman who was running the tea room on his own. The sun was out on the day of our visit so we sat outside... More

Food all home made, great location and would highly recommend, don't expect high end or modern menu but classic dishes and on a lazy sunny day this place can't be beaten Owner always polite and a wealth of local knowledge.

We have been coming here for a number of years. We are always made welcome and have a lovely time. The owner creates a lovely ambience in the restaurant and is much loved by his regulars.

We had tea and tea cakes, with butter and jam - delicious! The owner was so friendly and made us feel valued customers - feeding us with all sorts of information about the area. Another couple came in for coffee and we soon enjoyed a lively conversation with them and the owner. All told, a very happy hour or so... More

Visited for lunch during thee week - very quiet. A lovely traditional atmosphere. The owner was very pleasant and obviously knows the area well (but was a bit too chatty whilst we were trying to eat). Home-made steak and kidney pie delicious and good valuee.

Charming old style tea room situated in Middleton-on-Sea offering great service from its owner. My one issue is that the ventilation system to get rid of the cooking smells from the kitchen did not seem to be doing its job.
