Always good for a beer or three after a long bush walk which has become a bit of a tradition after some 15 years. Always a little bit cool there but there's lots of old charm and historical significance about the building that's worth a visit and look around. The place continues to deteriorate as we witness each year when... More

This is our local so it is a huge disappointment to find out it is only opening for a few days a week now. I guess it would help if more locals used the place but to be honest it needs a new publican, new ideas, less dodgy people and better management. It is sad to see such a beautiful... More

I ordered sirloin steak medium rare and I got so overcooked that I could use it as a sole. Then I asked the chief how is it cooked and she told me it is medium pink inside. Truely it was so brown and tough, possibly about 2 minutes after medium rare cooking time. I was so hungry I ate it... More

Old building filled with character, I had low expectations for the near $20 burger I ordered for dinner. Pleasantly surprised by the generous "with the lot" burger with chips: egg, cheese, bacon, beetroot, tomato, onion, capsicum...yum.

Stopped in for lunch on our way home from Sydney, had a lovely meal in a warm dining room. Great family feel to it, friendly staff and good service. Will definitely be returning!!

When you pay through the nose for obviously pre prepared food on a plate is it to much to ask to be served by an individual that can manage their own level of inebriation? What was I thinking? There are plenty of nice places in the mountains. Try elsewhere.

Where to start? Cold, damp, dirty and in need of a Reno! Went to this hotel for Christmas in July. It was all pretty poorly organised. The food was okay but I was glad the lights were low as I really didn't expect much in terms of cleanliness. The biggest disappointment was the unenthusiastic staff...at one point whilst waiting to... More

So terribly bad. The set menu for our Christmas in July dinner was not as advertised. Drink the beer, eat elsewhere.

We stayed as a couple for the June long weekend. Whilst our room (12) was clean, warm and cosy, with a sunroom and ensuite off the main room, the internal doors had to be shut to keep the road noise down. We dined the first night in the bar as the resteraunt /bistro was not open, the meal was ok.... More
