Popped in for a cuppa & a snack- the wife had the cheese scones & I had the Devonshire tea. Probably the best Devonshire tea I have had outside of Devon - the scones were beautiful, the strawberry jam homemade & actual clotted cream. I finished off the wifes cheese scones & they were light & tasty. The ambience is... More

A reasonable range of light lunch choices at realistic prices. Friendly service and a great location with water views. Light and airy with a homely decor. Food came out in good time and was nicely presented. Would consider coming again.

The place is nice and clean and has a very nice outlook overlooking the beach and water, the gardens were in bloom when we were there and it was beautiful. If you keep an eye out you will even see a blue wren. The Sunday roast beautifully cooked and is great value with a selection meats and deserts, tea and... More

Absolutely wonderful place to stay for self container caravans and motor homes. Large sites and amazing views with great beach and island walks. The popular restaurant is added bonus for your stay. Cant say enough about the hosts Trevor and Vicky, they are so friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much we only left because we had to.

What a delightful setting. We had a reservation for lunch (7 of us), greeted with a smile and shown to our tables. The menu was beautifully presented with lots of choices. Most of us girls had the crepes (lots of fillings to chose from) mine was chicken and asparagus and served with salad (half serve was 1 crepe and this... More

Stayed for 3 nights in our self contained caravans, nice location with sea views, lovely gardens to stroll around and had lovely home style sunday roast and light meals in tea room cafe. Hosts Vicky and Trevor are very welcoming, going back soon.

Booked for a large family function, with a few elderly family members. Menu well suited to the older generation, with good old fashioned homestyle cooking.

Three of us had lunch, reasonable prices, lovely food and great service, what more could we ask? The restaurant was light and pleasant and having a window seat meant we could look over Bass Strait. We'll definitely go there again.

On the Old Coast Road, opposite "Goat Island" is the Blue Wren Tea Rooms. The location is enough-and the gardens, full of waratahs and the like is simply special. The menu is homely-nothing overly fussy, but taking in the ambience of view and access, very much worth the time. On the downside, their ammenities are a bit hard and awkward... More
