On Friday we were set to have their crock and a half (onion soup and half a Reuben) but there was a sign out front that no lunch was being served and reservations were needed for dinner. The blinds were drawn in the front window so the place looked closed, but my husband went in to buy beer since they... More

This was my second visit to this out-of-the-way spot. It was well worth the drive. I had the duck breast, perfectly cooked. My companions were pleased as well. The atmosphere has room for improvement but whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Seated immediately and service was very good. Had our favorite "crock and a half". Best Onion Soup in the valley!

Went with family who live in the area. A pleasant experience. Good wine prices /great choices. Selection of entrees was also great. Soups were delicious. My choice of oysters was not what I expected but it was tasty. Our waitress was efficient and friendly.

Looks deceiving from the outside but the House of Wines is a great place to eat. If the weather cooperates ask to sit outside on the patio (overlooking the Muskingum River). I have had everything from a Rueben to the entree special and they are all delicious. Plus they have the best selection of wine and beer in town (pick... More

Huge selection of wines from overseas. Delicious meals and nice view on the river from outside patio. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, live music and fantastic desserts. Worth a stay

I have eaten here several times and the food is excellent. The location is off the beaten trail but well worth the drive for great atmosphere and food. Consistently excellent. There is also a superb wine and craft beer store there so that you can bring home a great drink.

Couldn't wait for my husband to try this restaurant after our daughters took me for Mother's Day. We waited 45 minutes and folks who arrive 25 minutes after us were served first. At this point our waitress Anna was forced to tell us that she failed to put our order in! She was non-apologetic and a bit cocky from the... More

Stopped in after dinner to check out the place. Met the owner, and she hooked us with a great bottle of red wine, and we got to enjoy it on the patio facing the river. Staff was great. Wines / Beers are sold at state minimum and she will cork it the remaining wine for travel back to home or... More

The guest is the reason for your business and not an interruption to it. Owner should not be in a hospitality driven business as she has no clue to what the definition of hospitality is. The service tonight was inexcusable. The food only ok. To make matters worse our sever visited us one time in over an hour and then... More
