Sushi Café was a very nice take away and dining in cafe near the Dayton Mall. We visited yesterday, following a nearby lunch for take away and found Sushi Café to be permanently closed.

Love the Sushi Cafe, I think its the best around. Most people don't know about it because it is tucked behind the gas station on Byers rd. It isn't that fancy on the outside, but great people and service on the inside. My go to place for sushi in the d Dayton area. Have ordered off the regular menu a... More

It's not much to look at from the outside. I think it used to be a Howard Johnson, but inside it's a quiet Japanese restaurant. My friend and I have both lived in Japan, so we're particular about Japanese food. We had warmed sake, a fresh, light tempura appetizer which was enough to share. The salad has a delicious ginger... I found this place on Trip Advisor and, apprehensively, decided to give it a try. Sushi sounded really good to me so my craving overtook my caution at eating at a small "hole in the wall" sushi cafe that was far from any sort of truly fresh fish. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food! The sushi was great... More

I have been here many times and always enjoy the meal and service. I had Yaki Soba with vegetables and California rolls, with a salad. It is not fancy but the food is very good and they have a nice variety on the menu.

I have been here several times on visits to Dayton. Staff recognize my grandchildren and remember what they like to eat. This is my favorite place for sushi, especially the specialty rolls of the day.

I had a 'hankering' for sushi on a drive through Ohio. I got off on an exit in Miamisburg just south of Dayton and came upon Kai Sushi -- a quite unassuming exterior. Upon entering, the 'unassuming-ness' continued. However, here I am and I'm going to eat sushi. It was lunch time, so I ordered the lunch special - a... More

the building looks worn out, but the sushi is amazingly good. They will often have specials on it as well. I try and stop here at least once every week or 2. Its my favorite on the south side of Dayton.

My favorite go-to sushi place in the Dayton area. Their regular sushi is really good and their special rolls are quite special. Service is very good.
