Downtown Powell's best kept secret. The food, service, and drinks are always good. Their soups are fresh and original. Try the tomato bisque and the pretzel Reuben!

Recently visited The Liberty Tavern with some friends, atmosphere was very inviting and service was good. Large variety on menu. Wife and I had burgers which were very good. Other couple had shrimp po boy and stuffed ribeye sandwich. They both commented on how good food was as well. Large draft selection as well as full bar. Place really filled... More
Yummy food, salmon BLT a killer! So is the Pot Roast Sandwich, and Monday's is half price bottles of wine! Can't get better than that!
My wife and I went to Liberty Tavern on a Sunday, arrived a little before 6 hoping to see the Patriot football game. Alas, no football package, but the 4:30 game that day was good. Constantly changing draft beer menu, the servers have handwritten notes because it changes so quickly. I had a special, a panko breaded chicken breast on... More
We were seated instantly. Waitress was exceptional. Great menu, hard to choose. Food came quickly was warm and very tasty. Drinks were excellent. not rushed nice background music, not overpowering. .Never got to desserts, too full.
I have been to Liberty Tavern many times. The menu, food and drinks, is always great. This is not your typical tavern food. One of my favorite appetizers is the shortrib tacos. I would recommend this place for sure. Service has been variable, usually good though.
The place is cool inside but it stops there. The customer service is horrible. From messing up the order to waiting a half hour for a drink refill on a slow night. The food is ok but its way over priced compared with the quality. I would not recommend going here.

We brought my sister-in-law and her husband here for their last meal in Ohio before they left to go home to England. We have eaten here previously and were looking for good, casual, meal of comfort food. It was a... More

The Sweet Potato Fries are the best I have ever had! We sat outside, didn't bake in the sun with the umbrellas and enjoyed Thursday evening music from 2... More
