Classic 50's is Norman. Yep, it's a drive-in, but it is THE drive-in. Even Sonic tried to compete with classic 50's by building a store right next door around 1990 or so. (Sonic tore down its store and moved far away from the awesomeness that is Classic 50's). Contrary to belief (and other TripAdvisor posts) this place was NEVER a... More

When you're in Norman you have to stop by and get a sprittle (Sprite with skittles) or create your own slush with candy mix-ins. Make sure you get a fat straw too. Don't expect the fastest service, but it's worth the wait

This restaurant was originally a Sonic, and the food is "very sonic," but not as good. Since Sonic and this restaurant a across the street from each other, I am not sure why anyone would frequent Classic 50's.

Great drive-in with the 50s feel and vibe. So easy to drop in and order a fabulous slush. So many slush flavors are offered - too numerous to list. My favorite is the non-alcoholic Khula & Creme slush or any berry slush. These slushes are the simply the best. Don't miss the Classic 50s Drive Inn on Lindsey - fun... More

The food was good which helped for the rating. In the last month sep-Oct 2015 I've been here twice and they got the order wrong both times. I have to agree with someone else's comments. Not sure if it's switched owners but over the years they are letting it go. It will be sometime before trying again If going the... More

Sort of a throw back fast food drive in. Great selection of slushes and shakes. I love the corn dogs. Burgers are good too. I always stop on the way home after Sooner games and get some corn dogs for the trip home. Never been disappointed.

Used to love this place when I was younger but to be honest I'm leery of eating here. The place looks a little run down. A face-lift would help them a lot. If the outside appearance of a restaurant isn't kept up it always makes me worried about what the food prep area looks like. I will say, it was... More

I love going to Sonic, but now I would much rather come here! I had a blackberry slush (which they also have now at Sonic) and the 50s Drive-Inn slush was so much better! To my surprise there were a lot of actual blackberries included inside the slush as well. I also tried the Sprittle, which is their signature drink... More

They had a lot to choose from on their menu, but I had a coupon for buy one coney get one free. They were ok, but not amazing. The other things on their menu are probably better, but the quality and taste was just average. I thought their prices were pretty good. I would be willing to try this place... More

Ate here New Year's Eve to get a fast bite before seeing Downs Family Christmas Lights. They have a much larger menu than most Drive Ins. I had a baked potato boat. It was hot and delicious, so was the fried dill pickles. Great drinks also.
