We weren't impressed at first with the parking lot and building, but ended up enjoying the experience. It's all a part of Route 66 history so we just took it in. Small town USA. We had the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes (white or brown gravy) and fried okra. Oklahoma's favorite meal! It was very good and the service... More

There were nine of us and I text them the day before to let them know we would be there about 2-230. When we arrived they had our table all set up and ready to go for us. We all got something different from the menu. No one had anything bad to say about their food at all. It was... More

This was our last stop before heading home - I'm glad we stopped here! I had the chicken fried steak - it was excellent! My wife had a huge cheeseburger and fries. Service was prompt and friendly - just like you'd expect for a country diner. I'm ready to take another road trip to Stroud JUST to eat at Rock... More

We stopped at the Rock Cafe on our way to a concert in Tulsa. The food was great! I had the bun less buffalo burger. The meat was moist and very tasty. We will keep this restaurant on our list of places to visit when near Stroud.

You gotta eat somewhere when driving down Route 66. The Rock Cafe is a good spot for that. As you could guess, it's been around forever - at least in terms of Route 66. The food is basic and fine, the waitress is friendly, and so on. The Rock Cafe's claim to fame, though, is a movie connection. Some people... More

We decided to take the bikes out for a spin and headed to Stroud to eat at Rock Cafe which we had seen on Diners...As soon as we saw the parking lot we got pretty nervous bc gravel and motorcycles do NOT mix. We were seated immediately and the waitress was AWESOME and friendly. We tried the schnitzel (?) and... More

Our impression is that they are living off of their location on Route 66 and the longevity in that location......certainly the food cannot contribute to their longevity in our opinion. The smothered chicken was not good, according to my wife, who rarely complains (believe it or not!!!). My Reubin sandwich (which was recommended in a TA review) was terrible.....very greasy,... Food was pretty good, wait staff - never smiled until a little kid came in and then she was happy as a lark. Unique place on Route 66 that is fun for kids who have seen the movie "Cars". Group of foreign visitors were there and they seem to have a great time.

We met here (it's halfway-ish between Tulsa and OKC) and I love these people. Small town Oklahomans that are so friendly and nice. All of us agreed about how nice these folks are. First of all, just to say, they know how to do sweet tea. Cowboy Candy is great. Thin onions and jalopeno a served with honey mustard. As... More

We came in about 1 pm on a Saturday and they were busy.. we had 6 people in our party. We had to wait. Not a problem. The waitress was not very friendly. We finally got sat down and she rushed us to order. My daughter ordered chicken bites with Mashed Potatoes. They brought out FF. She said that she... More
