Alas, when we returned it had closed. RIP west side cafe in Bend. We’d eaten there several times when in town for skiing Darn! I cannot think of a suitable substitute yet.

So sorry to see this local favorite the Bend Westside Bakery & Cafe close as of Dec 31st 2014, after more than 30 years of baking. Thanks for all the years of great food and baked goods!
Though we look back on memorable breakfasts a few years ago at the Westside Cafe, our recent visit there was a huge disappointment. We were so looking forward to their unique French Toast based on house-made cinnamon bread, but the dish we had this time...More
We recently enjoyed a lovely Sunday breakfast here - the whole neighborhood is cute and un-touristy, and the staff is attentive. We were surprised that the coffee was good, too. Hearty, American-style breakfasts with many options. The vibe, kitschy decor (including life-sized Elvis and Big...More

Food was amazing. Service great as well. Would definitely recommend eating here. We went for breakfast. I had a scramble with a homemade biscuit. Biscuit was outstanding. My scramble has all fresh veggies and bacon it. Fresh country potatoes as well.
