Our three purchases were: 1. Amazing Crullers; 2. Nice, kinda crunchy apple fritters; and 3. Some nice, yeasty sandwich rolls the lady next to me in line talked me into. They are only open part of the week, but we also found them at the local farmer's market.

I was craving some good bakery bread but every time I tried to catch this place open... it wasn't open. Then finally... I found out you have to walk inside the building and the bakery is located at the end of a hall. It is a very small space. I have not tried anything else but I can tell you... More

We first found the delicious baked goods at the farmer's market on wed. And found out they are open here Fri. Sat. & Sun. so we went to this location. The people were backed up out in the hallway. The breads are excellent and all the donuts etc are exceptional!

They are only open on Friday and Saturday. If you want to special order something they aren't open. The pastries are good, not the best, like a big town, but better than at the grocery store.

what a find. Passing through Brookings on a road trip nod stying in a desultory budget motel. Not a great impression of the town. Then, voila, I found this wonderful little bakery while looking for a quick muffin and coffee for breakfast. Forget muffins...think buttery croissants Savory chocolate, almond and plain butter), pecan packed sticky buns, scones, pecan tarts, lemon... More

I had visited their booth at the local farmer's market before we moved away in 2010. We were back in town for a potluck and followed the wonderful fresh baked bread aroma down the hall. We bought some pecan tarts and some cookies - the prices were very reasonable for something freshly baked and hand made. There is a $10... More

great selection. it's a shame they're only open to the public 3 days/week. for this reason, they are jam packed when they are open. almost not worth the wait. they are good, as they seem to be the only real bakery in town. great selection of baked pastries and donuts.

We stayed in Brookings during a 101 road trip. I found out about Bakery By The Sea from Trip Advisor. It is a little tricky to find as it is in a strip mall with no outside sign other than "Bakery". It is a small shop, just enough room for one customer at a time. We got a ham &... More
