The horse radish has the best sandwich I have ever tasted. It is clean and cute. A great place for a lunch date or a night on the town. I recommend the vegetarian sandwich with bacon, it melts in your mouth.

Fanstastic, casual lunch spot in Carlton. Lots of wines to try here, but with the huge number of tastings rooms we chose to re-hydrate here instead. Great sandwiches, soups and salads, reasonable prices and friendly people. Totally lives up to all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and elsewhere.

Great lunch spot while exploring Carlton's shops and tasting rooms. Our group went for the 1/2 sandwich and soup combos and gave the beet soup rave reviews. Sandwiches were hearty, fresh and filling. Friendly, attentive servers, casual atmosphere. Great food break between tastings!

Really great food in the little town of Carlton. We couldn't decide what to order. The service was a little slow but it was very crowded.

We went for lunch on a quiet weekday in November. Was low-key. Service was friendly and efficient. They didn't rush us. Laid back atmosphere - good for couples or families. Looked like there might have been a counter where you could order to go too. Food: Really good sandwich options. I had the BLT (great meaty bacon!) and husband had... More

This place is a casual place to have lunch. That said though, there is casual as in Denny's and then there is all together different kind of casual. This place, thankfully is the other kind. My daughter and I stopped here for a dunch on a friend's recommendation and absolutely loved the place. We had a cheese/salumi plate to share,... More

I had the soup and sandwich. The soup is made in-house and it is quite good. We ordered a warm brie cheese plate for table and that was excellent. The French-press coffee is also excellent.

Twice in the past year we have stopped at the Horse Radish for a more-than-ample lunch. From Sunday through Thursday, it is open from noon to 3 pm; Fridays and Saturdays it is open from noon to 10 pm. Most recently, my wife and I both had a Carlton ham half-sandwich with soup for one, salad for the other. French-press... More

They have a great selection of wine and beer, and wonderful bread. Service was prompt and attentive. Everyone in our group enjoyed the meal.
