Don't go here for the food which is not great. Go because it is such a sweet restaurant with lovely outdoor seating during warm weather.

Excelsior was once a gem in Eugene, but no more. I went for Sunday brunch with two friends and found only poor service and terrible food. Too bad.
Because we live Italian food we love Excelsior. We have enjoyed many fine meals and wine here and it is always a treat. The service is excellent, ambiance mellow and proved within reason. Highly recommended for a special night out.
Historic inn with modern upgrades. Reasonable rates for unique rooms named after composers. Delicious breakfast in attached restaurant and parking included. Restaurant with outdoor patio serves high end Italian cuisine. Friendly and efficient staff. Will stay here again!
