Some girlfriends and I had just decorated a store for the holidays and were dining out as an after party it was late. We chose to go to Crazy Pepper, a Mexican cantina downtown, mostly because they have the best nachos ever but also because they are open later than most places in Hood River. Crazy Pepper is like walking... More

This resturrant has added asian inspired dishes which I have not tried. I just love the vegetable casserole. It is a large plate of rice topped with broccoli and cauliflower + lots of cheese. And yes, it's considered a Mexican dish! It's great!

My wife and I and another couple were visiting Hood River, had a hankering for Mexican food, saw this place, and decided to give it a try. We're glad we did. We started with drinks. The margaritas were good and weren't stingy with the alcohol. The chips were fresh, and the two salsas were flavored slightly differently from any I'd... More

We drove into Hood River tired and hungry. Frankly, this restaurant was the first one we saw. Tex-Mex in Oregon? Oh well, we thought, we are hungry. What a nice surprise. The place was large and clear and the service was excellent -- and fast. Most importantly the tortilla soup and the pork burrito were very generous and very tasty.... More

Prices were great, service was thorough and friendly. Nice place. My ala carte bean burrito was good (love that it includes sour cream), And the sauce on the burrito/enchilada Cambodia was AMAZING. It was stuffed with shredded beef! Great value. Recommended!

Positives: 1) Food was delicious; 2) Portions were generous (you might consider sharing); and 3) Service was attentive (but not too), prompt and professional.

Just got in from the families latest stop at Hood River's Crazy Pepper Mexican Restaurant. We think it's been better. Something has changed there and it's not just the menu. We have always gone there for the Southwest style food and the family favorites such as the Crazy Burrito remain stalwarts on the menu, but we have found other local... More

as long time hood river residents we have frequented all the restaurants in the area; in the past we have enjoyed good food at Crazy Pepper...even with the new owners. Alas, our streak is over as our last encounter was greeted by below average food. The chips served in advance of the meal were obviously left over from the last... More

Very enjoyable. Food was above average but not authentic. Service was remarkable. Drink prices were a little steep but worth it. Very clean establishment.
