This is usually a favorite place to go but I will never go there again. Prices are now ridiculous! $14.50 for one waffle! Seriously? Breakfast consisting of 2 waffles, one 1/2 order of bacon cost us $50!! Not happening again. Hadn't been to Newport for awhile and we ALWAYS have breakfast or lunch there. I hadn't check prices on other items we buy but ... $14.50 for a WAFFLE? I will not recommend you again and, in fact, will discourage others I know from doing the same!

The place was packed but the services was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. I tried the crab omelette, for sure it depends on everyone’s taste, but for me was delicious as the crab taste was subtle and at all overpowering the eggs. The pancakes were very good also, crusty and fluffy. If you happen to be close to one of this places, worth the try.

What a nice place! Felt very family owned, family friendly. All the staff were cordial and attentive. I was craving Swedish pancakes and there they were on the menu-also, they will cook them to your liking (sometimes at IHOP the Swedish pancakes are sorta doughy)- for me, a bit more browned & cooked. Good coffee and they gave us a free pen-nice touch! Recommend.

We were familiar with Pig N' Pancake from their other locations, but our first time here.
My lunch included a cup of their very good clam chowder (I'm very very particular about clam chowder and compare whenever possible) and a shrimp melt sandwich. The shrimp melt tasted great but would have been much better and easier to eat if it had been served on a different type of bread or bun. My wife's fried shrimp was good and the fries were excellent. The service was top notch and the restaurant was clean. For a lunch hour it was surprisingly slow. They deserve to get more local support and business. (I lived in Newport for ten years, and the Oregon coast for nearly 40 years)

we went here for a late breakfast, the wait was not long (there in the fall, not summer) the hostess was pleasant. Our waitress acted like she would rather be anywhere but working there. The food was on par with Denny's or Waffle house, certainly not worth the price we paid

Had a strawberry blitz. It was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted, and I would order 20 of them. I had a latte as a drink. It was delicious what 100% go again friendly staff busy, but they are good with communicating and taking care of your needs.

Terrific food and outstanding service.
An Oregon original, Pig’n’Pancake has been in business since 1961. They feature great pancakes, of course, but lots of other breakfast and lunch dishes.
Everything was cooked to order. It was hot and delicious.
Highly recommend!

We had a bit of a wait on a Thursday morning around 10 but found the food to be tasty. My sourdough toast wasn't very toasted and very buttered but everyone enjoyed their eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, omelet, hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. Service was a bit slow but very polite.

We both got the Mr Pigs Cheeseburgers, one with Swiss cheese the other with cheddar, one with fries and one with onion rings. They were huge and excellent! Wish we had eaten here more during our week stay. Excellent service as well. Didn’t get to try breakfast but will try to come back in the future.

Looking at the high ratings of the retaurant and the line outside earlier in the week, I expected a great breakfast. The food was cold and there was no jelly for the toast. Butter did not melt on wifes pancakes. My polska skillet was luke warm at best.

There were 8 of us for breakfast. While we had to wait a bit for a table to become available, it wasn't very long and the staff could not have been better! Our server, Chelcy was patient with us while we decided and she joked along with us throughout the breakfast.
The food was all very good. Pancakes, of course, were featured, but I had a taco omelet that was simply amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant with a funny name that was marvelous!

I was in Newport, Oregon, with my wife, and we needed a place to eat breakfast. I reminded my wife that we had eaten here in the past. She didn't like the name, but realized that we had eaten there in the past. She was very satisfied with the oatmeal.
Prices are fair and the portions are large. Service was fine, nothing great and not poor either.

The food was good, however $15 for 4 slices of French toast and no sides!!!! Wow and same for the crapes, 3 crapes, no sides. And we were halfway through and they were on top of us asking if they could take our plates. All of us still had plenty of food to eat. Overall good food, mediocre portions, mediocre service, and very high price for the plate.

We actually went to three Pig and Pancakes on our trip and loved them all: Newport, Seaside and Astoria. These are marvelous family owned restaurants and pride of ownership definitely shows. The food was very good and there was lots of it. The service was excellent at each locations. This is definitely our go-to when we are in these cities.

Good classic easy food. Nothing fancy nothing boring. just right in the middle and good! Family eats here all the time when we’re in town. Easy for family’s with everyone getting what they want. Staff is so nice (NEVER had a problem with anyone ever) bathrooms are clean. Dining room is clean.
