Restaurant and fresh fish counter with local catches. Excellent lunch with friends. Tables with great view upstairs. Shrimp salad, crab & seafood soup, crabcakes, razor clams, salmon. All well-prepared, well-served. Reasonable pricing. Looking forward to my next visit!

Great fresh seafood. Upstairs View is great now. Crab soup is to die for. Off the main drag, but well worth searching for.

We drove to Newport and from reading reviews imagined this to be a very different restaurant than it actually is. It's a casual cafe come restaurant that serves mainly fresh fish. Service was okay, food so so and we wouldn't race to return. But if...More

The ambience is sort of clean industrial but the food is literally exciting. Blends of flavors, expertly presented, perfectly done. Expert wait staff. Nice view of the harbor from upstairs seating near window. Spendy but worth it. Reservations suggested at peak hours.

Superb seafood in a comfortably casual environment. The upstairs dining area is quieter and more relaxing than the downstairs area by the market, which has more of a "wall in" feel. By all means, make a reservation if possible! Regional beers are great. Wine list...More

We went as a big family for lunch and had a bit of a wait. However, we could walk around while waiting and went to see the wild sea lions nearby so not a problem. The restaurant is near the sea but in a reasonably...More

The 8 of us trooped in (after finally locating parking) on a September Monday afternoon. We agreed to two tables so waited less than 20 minutes, which gave us a view of shoppers at the main floor seafood market. As the story goes, the restaurant...More

Good seafood simply cooked. Much is caught local. Good, quick service. Nothing fancy. Well priced for the quality of the seafood.

Local Ocean is always busy, so reservations are in order. They have a full menu featuring locally caught fish and seafood in almost every dish. Larger shrimp dishes have shrimp from the Gulf Coast. The fish market in the restaurant even identifies the local boat...More

Living in Seattle, I've eaten at many seafood restaurants, and this is one of the best. During the summer, large garage doors open onto a busy, interesting street with amazing views. All ingredients were very fresh, preparation imaginative and the service excellent. I had the...More

I don't know but we had lunch twice. Entrees were between $15 and $25. The portions were of good size. I don't know if there is a separate dinner menu.

When I visited, there were no GF substitution options, but they do have a designated GF menu and several tasty options. Much more than the 'ol standby of a boring salad.

I am pretty sure this is in reference to the appetizers. The prices for appetizers are listed at 2 to 16 $s - the $2 appetizer is the oyster shooter. The menu at the restaurant will have the specific prices for each item as... More
