About
The Brewers Union Local 180, Oregon's only Real Ale Pub and Brewery, is a blend of the best of the British Public House, the American spirit of adventure, and the natural scenic beauty of Oregon's Cascade Mountains. Situated in the center of Oakridge, which along with it's neighboring city of Westfir are the only cities in Oregon completely surrounded by National Forest, you will find a throwback to when the community gathered regularly to share news, when beer was brewed in the back of the pub and pulled from the cellar out of a cask, and when the weary traveler found a cozy nook and a good meal. The Local 180 aspires to be neither a restaurant nor a bar, neither a coffeeshop nor a pool hall. You won't find any gambling machines, overbearing television sets, or blaring piped-in music. Better yet, expect to find yourself a comfortable spot in the quiet front parlor, enjoy a cup or two of good coffee and a good book, or show off battle-scars from that last downhill ride in the public bar over a pint of cask conditioned ale. You will not be processed through the typical restaurant theater, but instead you can stay as long as you wish, right up to the last orders bell.

Amazing atmosphere. I always associate the Brewers Union with fantastic memories with friends. I love that they are so laid back, have games, a pool table, couches... I just feel comfortable and welcome there. The food is pretty good... but its the atmosphere that makes the place fantastic. I love the Ruben sandwich. My only wish is that they would bring back the Soda Bread that they used to serve it on... it was deliciously addicting. But otherwise, fantastic!

We just wanted an evening beer and found this incredible British style public house with bitter (and other beer) made onsite. FABULOUS!

I was looking forward in stopping here to taste their real ale bitters and I was not disappointed. Real crafted English ales served up in a very traditional English style. True casked ale's served through a beer engine. Impressive. Their ales are brewed right there onsite. They also include 4-6 guest taps from other breweries within the region. The atmosphere was cozy and very pub like. Separate bar and dinning area with a limited outdoor seating area. Service was very good and quite friendly.

I went we a large group of friends and we all ordered a variety of food and drinks. There is seating indoors and outdoors. The bar setting is quaint with local beers on tap. The food was great in flavor and portions. It's upscale bar food. Thumbs Up! Staff was friendly.

Homemade chili. Flavorful Reuben, interesting sauce. Thumbs up! Oakridge spinach salad was good-loved the marionberry vinaigrette. Sweet potatoes fries yummy. Liked the bar atmosphere. Order at the bar is common for breweries. Will stop again.

We shared a plate of fish and chips, it was more than enough for us. The beer is the old English way not too cold which really brings out the flavour, we sat at a table at a window it was nice atmosphere. Best of all we could walk from the Inn we were staying at

Love having a pub with great burgers & beer in Oakride! Excellent cask-conditioned beers made right there, and other Oregon beers as well. Nice atmosphere with locals & tourists alike!

Service was slow. You have to order at the bar and our experience with the food is mediocre at best. All the furniture is antique and interesting.

We had heard about this place and decided to drive and try it. GGREAAT atmosphere for having a quiet lunch and brew. They have several IPA's on the menu plus the usual assortment of craft beers. Menu was interesting and moderately priced, something for everyone. Brewers displays an English Pub style atmosphere and offer corresponding foods, i.e., Bangors and Mash. I had two large cod fish/chips for $10. Fries were hand cut and very good. Hungarian soup could use some vegetables or filler. I liked being able to buy a 1/2 pint beer for $3, as it was early in the day and I was driving. Really was worth the stop.

A nice English style bar with local and regional micro brews on tap. The food was fresh and tasty. Bangers and mash. My next trip through will find me here for a meal.

A couple of my friends from Eugene stopped by and we decided to try out the Pub (at last). Order off the menu at the bar and plenty of tables to choose from on a Friday afternoon. We all have a salad - the Oakridge, the Cobb & the Pasta. All were large and fresh and excellent. Enjoyed a cider and a beer as well. Service was fast and friendly.

I have been going to the Brewers Union anytime I make it to Oakridge. The cask conditioned ale and guest taps are always worthy of drinking. The menu has always been good with fair prices. Their burger with apples and blue cheese is fantastic! They are mostly consistent in their quality. Sometimes the burger will not be cooked to your exact request, but that could also be subjective. If it is your thing, have their Poutain...with a couple of friends! Also a great place to talk to other mountain bikers about the trails they have ridden and get the scoop on shuttle service and the like. Really a locals place that is welcoming for a small town.
