This place is DEFINITELY worth stopping and dining. We had breakfast and it was DELICIOUS. The coffee was great, the breakfast burrito was well sized and tasty. The Shrek Breakfast sandwich was perfectly portioned and the homemade bread was especially nice. There is also a surprisingly lovely selection of art, wood bowls and vessels, handmade jewelry and textiles. They are not your typical arts and crafts, these people are artists. The entire experience was really lovely, we will be back.

Nice spot for a quick bite, or simply to slide into a chair and re-find you center. It is very customer friendly and offers a nice selection of foods, bakery items and drinks. At times you might enjoy a live music experience as you enjoy your goodies. Also, fairly reasonably priced.

I love the reuse of an old grocery store for great coffee, pastries and breakfast. I highly recommend the crepes! It is eclectic and there is various artwork and jewelry on consignment. I was hesitant to try it, but I am so glad that we did!

Made a brief visit, but the smells were so enticing, almost blew off my appointment to have a snack and some joe. Looked to have a nice menu, so gotta get back there soon. Also had a fellow come in and offer up some nice music for the customers.

I really enjoy treating myself at the Lion Mt Bakery. Jackie makes some amazing date bars. She is a very skilled baker, cook and barista! Worth a stop in! Cute atmosphere, art to look at. You won't be disappointed.

We wanted to support local so we stopped here instead of the A&W. Our grilled cheese and minestrone soup was perfect for the blustery fall day. Sometimes grilled cheese is a let down, but they bake their own bread here and use good cheese so I highly recommend. The food prep seemed a little slow, but we were happy for that because there is so much to look at here! Used books, artwork, word carvings, lawn ornaments. What a kick. My cappuccino was delicious, as was the date nut bar I had for the road. It had a citrus hint to it which was novel and refreshing. We pass through Oakridge fairly often and will definitely stop here again.

Stopped here on our way down from Portland to Crater Lake for a quick snack and break up the 4 hour drive. Angela welcomed us very warmly even though she was closing soon. She looked after us perfectly and made us fresh to order delicious food. We could have chatted for hours with her. She is a credit to this lovely establishment. You must pop in if you are passing. Thank you Angela!

Lots to choose from. They even had gluten free options. Lots of different beverages and lots of sweets to choose from. Great service.

My husband was wide-eyed at how close I came to finishing a full order of Biscuits n' Gravy with 2 scrambled on the side. I was sssoooooo close! That's how fabulous Chef Angela's cooking is. But, it's not just the biscuits n' gravy. My husband downed a fantastic scramble with every ingredient perfectly proportioned. The man even polished off an entire made-entirely-from-scratch English muffin without blinking an eye. This is the same man who shuns all wheat-based foods from pasta to bread to rolls to crackers. One taste, and he was hooked. The tiny bite I mooched was given only grudgingly. I think maybe the HOMEMADE Raspberry Jam was an influencer! Outside the Brexit Isle, I've never before tasted a made-from-scratch English muffin. Absolute heaven. I queried Chef Angela before ordering, because I consider myself a bit of a Biscuits n' Gravy connoisseur. She generously described in detail how she prepares each serving of gravy as well as the fact that the Biscuits are also made entirely from scratch! So, the muffin and the gravy and eggs were perfection. In describing her process, honestly, she had me at bacon crumbles (included with the hand-crumbled sausage at no extra charge!) 'nuf said. This cafe is super kitsch, in a way that perhaps only Oregonians can appreciate (pardon my Oregon snob). Oakridge isn't a place people stop. They slow to 35 mph on their way from K Falls to Eugene or Eugene to Bend, but they don't stop, unless they're starving and making do with A&W or DQ (ouch!). Visions of Ken Kesey and Jerry Garcia were dancing in my head at the Lion Mountain Bakery & Cafe, for sure. From the porcelain petit bedside lamp on the table to the ancien piano (I didn't even try to play it) to the locally crafted jewelry and art, this establishment is as unique as they come in that super-peculiar, out-of-the-way, no-beaten-track-in-sight kind of way. So, don't be off-put by the exterior (it may have been the bowling alley previously. I'm not certain), or the interior, for that matter. Come for the food, come for a great chef, come for a Kesey/Garcia experience. I almost forgot! You can a latte! Best regards,

Fresh bakery items each day. Many local artists display their wares here. This is a huge building so I'm sure they will expand.

Benn in twice now. First time around, it was near closing and the selection was limited (duh) but did get a good lemon/poppyseed scone. Staff was great and very informative - thank you, Lucy. Got some GF brownies for some friends next time and they were excellent!

Signs on the highway and in the downtown area are advertising the bakery, but the building was boarded up when we drove by. No indication if it is permanently closed or just undergoing renovation.

Had a great breakfast sandwich and nice chat with the owner. Gave us the lowdown on Oakridge. I'm picky about my coffee and it was nice and strong.

We were visiting people in Oakridge and wanted to take something to them we could all enjoy. We got two brownies, one with nuts and one plain. The brownies were large enough to cut into 4 pieces each. We also got two of three kinds of cookies, oatmeal cranberry, peanut butter and chocolate chip. The bakery treats were a big hit.
