My food smelled fishy even though I was eating chicken, my fiances chicken was frozen cold inside. The waitress was very sweet, she took back the food to be reheated, took the frozen meal off the check, and she brought out an order of free chicken wings for us, to help make up for things. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't... More

When walking the Alberta Last Friday street fair, we decided to step inside Mae Ploy to enjoy a lunch with some of the Asian food that Portland is blessed with. Mae Ploy fits the bill with savory curries with very fresh ingredients, and an exceptional spicy Papaya salad. Generous selection of both craft and asian beers and an ample wine... More

I had lunch here today. Delicious Lemon Grass Chicken. The service was very good. Plenty of room between tables and fairly quiet so I could easily carry on a conversation with my dining companion. We were there for several hours and nobody hurried us to leave.

Popped in here on an Alberta Street Sunday night walk with no expectations. Dinner was very good (Panang Curry). Service was fast and excellent. Beware: This dish can be very spicy.

Went with some friends and loved it! I had a stir fry with beef and it was wonderful! The brown rice is the reddish kind that I love, very good and chewy. Thai iced tea was perfect, took home leftovers, good quantity. The sauce was a little on the salty side but it was fine, just added more rice. good... More

I love Thai food but this place to me was just average. Stopped in for lunch with my sister. We ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu and Satay Chicken. The Pad Thai was okay but and the chicken, tender but both dishes lacked in any flavors that popped. The peanut sauce while edible, tasted more like peanut butter. I probably... More

We have been on the hunt for the perfect Thai restaurant for about three years now, and we are still looking. The food at Mae Ploy was good, just slightly expensive for what we got. I had the pineapple fried rice, which was pretty tasty, but my husband's Pad Thai was not the best he's had in Portland. All in... More

Had lunch here yesterday with classmates. The restaurant is very cute, the services was very good, and the food was outstanding! I had the pumpkin curry with chicken and salad rolls, classmates had shrimp fried rice, green curry and anther rice dish (can't remember). My curry was so very, very good, so much so, I can't wait to go again!... More

One of the many Thai places on Alberta, this place is NEVER BUSY (we are usually one of 2 couples there), they are super friendly and the food is wonderful! also, they have a HUGE menu with many yummy dishes to choose from and very reasonable prices. Please support this restaurant!
