I had one of the best Greek dinners ever here! The chicken kabobs were to die for, the rice was lovely, my salad was great. Dinner on a weeknight was not too crowded, so the service was on the spot. It has a small bar with sports on a television, but was not so loud that it overwhelmed our dining.... More

The owner greeted us and was sweet. The menu has Greek standards and we had high hopes - however everyone in our party was somewhat disappointed. The Greek salad was rather bland, the hummus nothing special, the meat on the gyros and kabobs were kind of dry. Given the great reviews maybe we caught it on a bad night -... More

Fantastic food. Visited the restaurant with my husband in August while we were on our Honeymoon. We were treated like royalty! This is the best Greek restaurant I have ever been too. We shared the lamb shank main meal and additional tapas style sides, and it was incredible. Melt in your mouth meat which fell off the bone. We just... More

I have been here a couple times. Once for drinks and snack and again for lunch. They have a nice soup and salad for lunch. Greek salad was yummy. Crisp, fresh and lots of toppings. Soup is my fave, Avgolemono. Right amount of lemon for flavor, so good. Nice staff, good service and pricing is right too.

We ordered a big spread of many different dishes and were not disappointed. The owner came over and chatted with us...so warm and personable. Would definitely go back when we're in Portland again!

Had an appointment in the area and decided to drop in for lunch. What a treat!! My wife had the moussaka and I had pastitsio. We sampled each other meal and couldn't decide which one was better. They were both great!! The staff is very helpful. We had the raspberry dessert (it was the special for the day) and a... More

If I were a Greek, then maybe I would know the secret to Mary's (Owner's mother) baklava. Or maybe not. Even the Greeks in the neighborhood rave about the cuisine, and cant figure out exactly what the secret is! One elderly Greek-American (a discerning palate for sure) walks here everyday for dinner. She told me, "I love these people! I... More

While heading down 21st street for a reservation we had made at another restaurant, we noticed that there were 2 open stools at the bar at the crowded Dorio. We decided to change our plan and give it a try, and that was a great decision. Excellent, real Greek food made from old country recipes, and a very personable mother... More

We were craving Mediterranean food on our recent vacation in Portland so we sought this restaurant out after reading other reviews. It did not disappoint! The server - Mary (who I think is either the owner or G.M.) was very friendly and welcomed us right away. She made several recommendations (we had two of them - Spanikopita and Moussaka) and...
