So, I wanted to grab a quick bite on the way to the airport, and WOW...The smallest looking, most un ordinary place popped out just a mile from the exit to the airport...These guys have without a doubt a true timeless treasure here... the BEST MENU , including breakfast, the ambience was insanely cool, with the vintage newspaper headlines and... It's kind of a hole in the wall and of average quality but it hits the spot on a rainy depressing night. Very Sysco.

On our way into town from the airport, first visit to Portland, we were looking for lunch and had not seen anything until we noticed the car show in the parking lot of Jim Dandy. Stopped for burgers and fries. Service was friendly, food was good. Interesting old photos of Portland on the walls along with car memorabilia. Has a... More

We ordered a pastrami sandwich for my husband which was terrible. It had no lie like 2 slices of meat on it. It came with lettuce and tomatoes what pastrami comes like that it should of had sauerkraut, mustard and swiss cheese! I ordered a pastrami hamburger it came with 2 slices of pastrami on it with thousand island dressing.... More

I hate writing a review on a single visit. Whether things are good or bad, the result could be mere chance. But this visit was sufficiently "bad" as to suggest that this was not just my experience. I wasn't looking for "fancy", I had an early flight and it was raining. I just wanted to eat and go back to... More

This is a very unique place to eat as it is from the 1950 era. The food is basic and fairly priced. Lots of nostalgia!

My hamburger was what I expected for around $3. The French dip was awful, but again it was cheap. The Swiss was American style swiss and didn't melt. Fries were shoestring, my husband lived them. I prefer steak or a fatter fry. They have alcohol and keno and slot machines. Lots of cool stuff on the walls to look at.

I had breakfast here 4 times. The pancakes are feather light. The French Toast delicious & eggy. Bacon & sausage side orders generous. One morning I had pancakes, bacon & scrambled eggs. Too much food. The service swings between charming and surly. Apart from the food it's worth a visit for the nostalgia factor. I would certainly return for both... More

This is a small diner that has been around for decades. It is mainly sandwiches and dessert and is very reasonable in price.
