Last year when I went to Little Bird, it was my favorite restaurant. This year? Not so much. The starter salad was great, the entree was not exciting and the dessert was odd. They definitely do not cater to the gluten free patrons. Last year I had their cassoulet and it was fantastic! They have a very high corkage fee... More

Consistently highly rated for years, this place is known for its great dinner menu, but it is also a great lunch stop. Come early, unless you have reservations. More seating outside if its not raining (Yes there are sunny days in Portland). Must have reservation in the evening. However, sitting at the bar can be fun. Every course is fantastic.... More

I’ve been to Little Bird many times (mainly for Happy Hour) and have never been disappointed until this last meal. I ordered the $34 Flatiron steak. The sauce was AMAZING! But….. there were only 5 little pieces of steak. It was somewhat cold by the time it was delivered to me. I assume it sat for some time before someone... More

I don't think I've ever paid so much for so little. My friends and I just shared appies and sides as we weren't all that hungry. The mushrooms were delicious and so was the cheese plate - although minimal portions of both. The scallop (notice that was not plural) was not even seared, barely warm and just kind of sat... More

The two of us were down here to celebrate our 51st anniversary. As we celebrated our 50th in Paris last year, this seemed an appropriate place too. Decor, food, wait staff all reminded us of some Parisian restaurants. Good selection of dishes and wines, all attended to in an attentive way.

We flew into Portland at 10:30pm on a Thursday night and we're looking for a place to eat late. We found this place because it was opened to midnight. They have a separate Happy Hour menu that is good from 10-12pm. The food off the regular menu was really expensive but we found quite a lot of deals on the... More

Last evening we tried this restaurant for the first time. The setting is interesting, low key In a very old office building. The wait staff were knowledgable and attentive without hovering. Starters were gnocchi and a salad of kale and cabbage~ both of the starters were really a nice surprise. Entrees consisted of Husband having lamb and I ate encrusted... More

Had dinner here last Saturday night with friends. Food was very good. The Foie Gras Torchone was wonderful. I ordered the Fried Chicken "Coq au Vin" and was disappointed because the balsamic sauce was too much. The waiter poured a small pitcher of the sauce around the potatoes and the chicken and it totally over-powered the dish. Get the sauce... More

We walked here on a Saturday evening hoping to get a table without a reservation. There was immediate seating at the bar and we took advantage of it. Service was very good and prompt. Although the steak tartar looked good we chose to share the bone marrow appetizer. It was an interesting dish with three large bones and toast points.... More

My wife & I went here several days ago because we have been dying to go. We went for lunch & some drinks because we had already made dinner plans. We ordered 12 fresh oysters, 2 glasses of fancy French champagne, the bone marrow dish & curried mussels with thin potato fries. EVERYTHING was super super good. The oysters were... More
