Serving the best middle-eastern/Lebanese food in Pdx, Nicholas is much overlooked because of its hyper casual, even funky decor. But it’s very convenient, located off NE 33rd and offers terrific middle eastern salads and other classic plates. Handmade pita bread hot off the oven meets...More
The Greek cuisine at Nicholas is exceptionally good. The lamb, chicken, vegetarian and specialty "pizzas" are all very well prepared and reasonably priced. I did not see any desserts. The setting is in an older building with crowded seating. Depending on the day of the...More
We've always enjoyed meals here (have probably eaten here 20 times). Tues. Oct. 31 we were disappointed. The signature pita bread, which we always look forward to, was underbaked and not as flavorful as in the past. ????? Breast-meat kabob was very chewy this time....More
The hummous was great as was the rice pudding, but was surprised they didn't serve fattoush. Pleasant staff in this out of the way find.
Very attentive server, clean tables, great fresh pita/flatbread presented to the table. Lamb and Shawarma platters and chicken pizza, Tahziki and humus very tasty and generous portions. Meat stuffed grape leaves were very good as well. Never got to the upstairs, remodeling must be going...More
This place is awesome! I tried food that I have never seen, much less eaten. I have no idea what I was eating! HA! But the food was fantastic! I love rice and this place had the best rice ever! Amazing food for this southerner!...More
Don't judge this place by the exterior, the food is phenomenal! The pita is amazing, fluffy, and huge. We had the hummus (delicious), chicken kabob plate (addicting), falafel (also delicious), and lamb platter (so good!). This place is totally worth a try!
A little bit of a wait for a Saturday night.....Tight seating, but OK. Freshly baked bread to start....delicious. Food was great. Was a little surprised that the restaurant could not make a bloody Mary or martini...I would definitely go back..Staff was very nice.
