The setting is a main draw. Housed on the 4th Floor, the patio seating provides an impressive vista of Portland, on our visit, transitioning from dusk to night. The wait staff was very good and the Local wine superb. Our starter was the best dish...More

Nice view from our window side table. The waiter was a little snooty - didn't even offer bread until we asked doubt if we would have gotten it. The food was very fresh and nice menu to choose from. We rated the desert the best...More

Noble Rot used to be one of my favorite places to go for wine and apps. After this experience I will not be back. I arrived and was woefully greeted and seated as if I was a bother as they opened. We ordered a flight,...More

Excellent food and informal professional service plus the wonderful view to the west over Portland makes this a fine choice for dinner. The salad made entirely from product from the roof garden was superb; the fish entrees were great; the cocktails superbly made; and the...More

Terrific wine flights, terrific and beautifully presented food, and a lovely summer evening on the rooftop. Our "waitress", and I hate to call her that, because her real title should be Restaurant Concierge, was Harmony. She was so kind, and so knowledgeable for us lowly...More

Went with friends who are local to the area and said this place is a must. They were right. The views are great and the food was very good. The onion rings were great! The pork belly special was very good. Service was quick and...More

Great food, and fab service from Raymond, but I was actually hoping for more of their stuff being grown on the roof. There were lettuces and greens and some herbs, but not a lot else. I was expecting most of the veggies would come from...More

The barman and one of the chefs at our hotel recommended this restaurant - actually I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise. It was a cab ride away from Downtown and takes up the top floor of a building in what seemed a...More

First-timers, we arrived promptly at 5 when they open without a reservation, but were granted a perfectly good table outside not in direct sunlight. The only caveat was we had the table for a limited time due to incoming reservations, but this was clearly explained...More

Noble Rot opened in May 2002. It has gained local and national attention including the NY Times, the Wine Spectator & Gourmet. The Willamette Week named Noble Rot "Restaurant of the Year" in 2003 & Sunset Magazine named it “2009 Wine Bar of the Year”. The best way to plunge into the Rot is through the wine flights that are offered each day. They also display a large bottle selection and all the wines are available to go. Noble Rot’s highly regarded, locally sourced, seasonal food menu is made up of small plates with intense flavors. Noble Rot is perched atop the fourth floor in an award winning, environmentally sound, Leed-platinum certified building (the greenest!) which includes a fantastic west facing city view. With its outdoor patio seating, it is one of the best places in the city to watch the sunset.
