From the host to server to the chef to the food to the 'mama', this restaurant is a true sensory experience to be relished. Of course, the food is fantastic--that is expected and it delivers--big time. The truly surprising elements of this family restaurant is the lovely homespun feel you get when 'mama' comes to introduce herself, as is Peruvian... More

We went with friends one of whom has gluten and other food allergies. They had a menu and advice to accommodate all concerns. Everything on the menu looked good and choices ranged from seafood to beef. A nice flexible wine was recommended and it was very nice. The mother of the family who owns the restaurant made the rounds at... More

There were four in our party so we had 4 appetizers and 4 main courses and 2 desserts. One better than the other. The lamb shank as main dish and octopus as appetizer are to die for but they were not the best thing on the menu. The habanero infused vodka with juice is the best cocktail I have ever... More

I love this place so much, it's worth coming to Portland all the way from Seattle! Start with sangria (super yummy) or a pisco sour, if you don't mind the ongoing debate of where it originated (currently, at least Peru, Chile and Bolivia argue about ownership) While the main dishes are superb, I suggest coming here for tapas--so you can... Andina is considered one of Portland's top restaurants. Here the food of Peru stars and delights. Be prepared to wonder at elusive flavors and preparations. The menu is extensive and the wait staff are endlessly patient and attentive. This is a lively spot and well wort the advanced reservations needed to get a place at the table.

I highly recommend this place. We went for my son's 25th birthday and werr not disappointed. We got an appetizer and cocktails during happy hour before our reservation and it was great. The food and desserts were amazing as well.

I can't say I'd every tried Peruvian cuisine before, but now I'm a fan. Décor is modern and the live guitar music not obtrusive. We were there for dinner on a weekend and the place was very crowded. The wait staff knew their stuff and were quick to steer neophytes to some great dishes. I couldn't pronounce anything, but we... More

First time I had Peruvian beer since 2007! I ate off the appetizer menu. The octopus was good but the presentation could have been better. It looked like a small animal with a long tail. The chicken kebabs were average. Clean restaurant with great atmosphere. Could be a 5 star with some minor improvements.

Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.
