Stopped in for tiramisu and cappuccino. Blown away! Authentic recipe from Florence. Chatted with Gino, thanks for taking care of us.

This is just the best neighbourhood restaurant I've been to. They have a great selection of food, a variety of starters, pasta in sauce of the day as well as fish sauce staples, entrees including a selection of wonderful steaks and a good range of deserts. Both the starters and the entree portions are very substantial and quite delicious. They... More

Very disappointed in the food and service we received Sunday January 15th. My daughter and I were meeting with a friend I hadn't seen in many years, she suggested Gino's for brunch at 10:30, the service was really slow, we were the only people in there, and my food was just barely warm. I had the eggs benidict, I have... More

To my mind this is the kind of place you go to get the food only your Italian grandmother cooked right. It's not a 'chef's school' restaurant so don't expect haute cuisine!

Gino's has been around for a long time. Perhaps that's why it never makes the lists of new and exciting restaurants. The menu doesn't change much and the experience is always pretty much the same. However the offerings are solid, very tasty, and reasonably priced. A nice wine list with excellent Italians. The clam and mussel appetizers are great as... More

Gino’s is located in a historic building in the Sellwood neighborhood. The restaurant and bar is furnished with attractive antiques and vintage items. We sat in a comfortable booth for both Sunday brunch and dinner on Monday. We both found the fare at Gino’s to be excellent and portions adequate. For brunch, I enjoyed a swordfish bagel plate accompanied with... More

This has been my family's "Go-To" for special occasions for a decade, and I happily celebrated my birthday there this past Monday. Unsurprisingly, we were met with friendly service, perfectly garlicky caesar salad and mashed potatoes, unique vegetables, and delicious entries. I'll remember for next time how much quieter Monday is than other days of the week. Thank you, Gino's,... More

Went her on a recommendation of a local. I had a filet that was excellent. We were seated and served very quickly. My wife had a seafood dish with risotto and it was very good. Atmosphere is casual in an old building setting, we liked it.

We had lunch here Wednesday, September 21 largely on the recommendation from our nephew. The waiter suggested the steak on penne pasta. I am somewhat to blame because I do not really like penne pasta. I just did not care for the dish. I ate some of my wife's ravioli which she did not really like. The ravioli was pretty... More

It has been years since we last went to Gino's. Decided to stop for dinner and were not disappointed. Cesar salad is huge and chuck full of garlic. We both split the spaghetti and mixed seafood (clams and mussels) in a wonderful rich wine garlic sauce. Needless to say we were stuffed and satisfied. A total must go for Italian... More

Description
Marc and Debby Accuardi opened Gino’s Restaurant and Bar February 27, 1996; their idea was to have a place where families, friends, and neighbors could gather for quality food and wine. That simple idea has turned into the reality that Gino’s is today. When you walk through the copper metal door and you’re greeted with the warmth of a century old oak wood bar, you know you are someplace where you can relax.

Marc and Debby are proud to join other Portland restauranteurs who believe in supporting sustainable farming, by using only the freshest seasonal ingredients available. We think you will agree this extra step only enhances your dining experience at Gino’s.

Some of our favorite purveyors include 47th Ave Farm, Your Kitchen Garden, Imperial Stock Ranch, Piedmontese Beef, Carlton Pork, Peak Forest Fruit, Pacific Seafood, and Miss Zumstein.
