Stopped by with my husband after looking for a sushi restaurant close by to where our son recently moved. We weren't disappointed. While the seating is limited, approximately 8-10 tight tables with a 8-10 person bar, our wait was less than 15 minutes. You sign in upon arrival and can chose to sit at either the bar or a table,... This place is the best. The service is spotty but still worth it because the sushi is so amazing. Make sure you get the Taka's Tuna because it's fantastic! It's probably my favorite sushi I've ever eaten.

I live in Portland and have eaten at pretty much every sushi restaurant in town. Yoko's sushi is hands down the very best around. I often joke to my husband that on my deathbed I want Konami's Treasure, a Dynamite roll, Taka's Tuna, and a Walla Walla roll. There, now you have the names of the best of the best... More

We remembered the fabulous sushi @ this tiny hole-in-the-wall from a previous Portland visit. This is the only place we've ever had taka tuna like this: a crispy rice disk with avocado & spicy chopped tuna. An order contains two servings & is a meal in itself. The seaweed salad is served with marinated cucumbers as well. Very generous portion... More

This was an outstanding dinner experience, complete with fresh red snapper nigiri, an interesting house special (Taka's Tuna with a fried rice base and minced spicy tuna and green onions), sake served room temperature in a traditional cedar box, and the freshest, most well-prepared seaweed salad I've ever had. We also enjoyed a sushi roll that was well-done. This place... More

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Portland. Yes, it's small and not super fancy, and it may not have the widest selection, but everything on the menu is incredibly tasty and it's one of the more affordable sushi places in Portland. I suggest the broiled mussels, the poki roll and, if you like eel, the batman roll.... More

This place is a s%*t box. Bad food, bad service, bad decor. People keep on going there and encouraging these people to serve subpar sushi at crazy high prices. Stop! Those guys behind the sushi bar are living in a fantasy world in which they can make sushi.

Yummy yummy rolls. Excellent Udon. Cool music. Friendly locals. Relaxed sushi bar. Put your name on the list and go next door for a drink. After writing this review I think I'll head to Yokos tomorrow.

Hands down this is one of the best sushi places we've ever eaten. The food is fresh and the portions are great. You've got to try the Poke roll. YUM!! (TIP: Be sure to arrive close to 5pm -the time they open - as possibe as the lines get very long. But, you can give them your cell number when... More

I have been to Yoko's several times with friends since moving to Portland last year and I have yet to find a better sushi joint in town. The thing that I like most about Yoko's is when they roll out (har de har) their special sushi -- they have had some great specials in the past, my favorite being the... More
