Kells is a traditional looking Irish Pub/Restaurant. It was warm and the folks were friendly...very nice for a drizzly, cold evening. We shared a batch of the sweet potato fries which were crispy and delicious. We also shared the shepherds pie - oh my! Lovely,...More

On a cool and wet day, their Irish Coffee hit the spot. The welcoming friendly staff made us feel at home upon entry. I had one of the best Reuben's I have had in Portland. It was stuffed with corned beef and kraut on toasted...More

Seriously - I am a nacho connoisseur. These were deep fried potato chips loaded like nachos. It tasted like a mix of potato skins/ nachos . I pretty much licked the plate clean. 😜

Popped in for dinner, seeking an “interesting” pub meal. The beer was good. The food, just okay. We had a shepherds pie that my missus described as a bit ordinary, while my fish and chips were greasier than I usually like (tip - remove some...More

Good beer and good vibes! I wish they had some more upbeat music on while the band was on break because it really brought the vibe down. But all and all a good time.

While on a tour in Portland, OR. several of us decided to try Kells Irish Pub for dinner. We were not disappointed. The Reuben was excellent, as was the Kells Burger. Service was great and our waiter demonstrated the "trick" they do to stick dollar...More

We were a party of approx 40 that arrived in a party limo bus to Kells. The fun had already begun before we arrived at Kells. Kells is one of the better "wannabe" Irish pubs and located in the Old Town. Good atmosphere and great...More

This Irish pub is as authentic as any in Ireland and it had a great atmosphere. It was loud and lively and packed with customers. Getting there is a short walk from the riverfront. Our server was friendly and efficient and he was versed in...More

Kells advertises itself as one of the best Irish pubs in the country. While that might be a stretch, it is a very good place. We had six of us there for lunch one day and enjoyed it a lot. The pub was not crowded,...More

I can't answer your question directly. I walked, but Kells is within a block or two of the green/orange and red/blue Max lines, so it's relatively accessible from almost anywhere in Portland.
