This is a real Irish pub with great food, great beers and full bar, music and downstairs cigar smoking area. Great for large or small groups. It's open early and late so makes it a Portland "must see" while visiting.

Kells is a Portland landmark and worth the visit. The Irish coffee was delicious, as were the potato nachos, the sausage roll and the fish and chips. Delicious food, great service, and comfortable atmosphere.

I fell in love with the Lamb stew they served. It was juicy, the potatoes had properly marinated into the soup, the lamb was tender and tasty. The restaurant has a modern decor with lot of wood paneling and a great collection of liquor on the shelves behind the bar. It was an early Saturday morning and not very busy,... More

Beer is real good. Our waiter messed up our order but he made it good. We were not in a hurry. We had a real nice time. The food is better than most bars

If you like Irish dishes this is the place to visit. Very original dishes. First visit included the best mushroom soup I've ever eaten. The soup had small chunks of been and I believe, one of Kell's craft beers in the recipe.

We went as a member of our group had gone for drinks the night before and listened to the Irish Band. We went to lunch, it was crowded. Service was Ok and so was the food. My wife had the Irish stew and thought the meat a bit lacking. Fish and Chips and bangers and mash, all good not great.

Lamb stew, mushroom risotto, and pot pie were excellent. Jameson Belgium chocolate dessert plus homemade whipped cream is just wonderful. It is so good that it rated getting the last drop via finger around the bowl!

Stopped there to follow EURO 2016 football of my team as I as in Portland for work. I arrived at 6am for the kick off and breakfast! Note that they do not serve beers before 7am. I had a good time.

It's been many years since my rowdy 20's of hanging out here and drinking good beers and listening to good music. We stopped in for a date night and were pleasantly surprised. The service was spot on and the food was tight. Wife had risotto and it was spot on with a nice blend with kale for texture and more... More

Ate with a large group and we all tried each other's items - the food was delicious. We also enjoyed the live musician who played many favorites from a variety of genres - I think his name was "Danny"? Also tried a flight of Kells beers - I asked the waiter to get me the 4 most popular flavors for... More
