Whatever the occasion; family birthday, out of town friends get together, happy hour after the play, or drink after work, Meriwether's provides the ambience, choice of food, and excellent service that makes the occasion so memorable. We know that we'll always have a selection of fresh and locally sourced menu items, often from the restaurant's farm, and nearby rivers and... More

I had dinner her with a group of coworkers one night during my stay in Portland. The restaurant itself is what I would consider fine dining; very nice atmosphere, some high quality food choices, and the prices to match. I had the filet and finger potatoes for my meal; the steak was just outstanding and the sides were good. Overall,... More

This is a beautifully decorated building with fantastic garden and patio areas so for good weather it would be nice for dinner outside. The service was very friendly but because it was very busy the service was a little slow. The food was very good for brunch with a variety of food, farm to table. They do have a small... More

We were in the neighborhood for the Wild Arts Festival, and decided to stop in for brunch. The place was busy but the service was great, with great looking selections. We both had the chilaquile, which was a delicious stack of piquillo braised chicken, eggs, quest fresca and avacado on tortillas. Delicious! Wish we could have had one of the... More

We ate at Meriwether's for a get together with a friend. We enjoyed our brunch. I had the traditional eggs benedict, which was delicious; my partner had the biscuits and gravy; and our friend had the egg scramble. All were excellent. The potato side was fantastic as well. Service was attentive but not intrusive, and the noise level was nice,... More

We had an enjoyable lunch, started with the Pantry Board with all 6 items. The olives were the freshest I have ever had. Bloody Mary's, onion soup was fantastic on a rainy day. Dessert was divine, a creme brulee oh so yummy! If you have not eaten here you really must do so! I think it would make for a... More

We stopped for lunch here after visiting the Pittock Mansion. The staff was warm and accommodating. We didn't have reservations and they were full but they seated us at the bar for a few minutes and then at a table that opened up soon afterward. The food was terrific and the bartender, who became our server could not have been... More

I ordered a chicken and Avocado Sandwich The fact that Avocado is very fatty there was enough mayonnaise to someone instant cardiac arrest. No seasoning just Mayo. If you go to a place that they use Wonder Bread - No Fancy Breads. and pay for wonder Bread - Think Twice and then Order.

This place is a gem. Keith, our server, was fantastic. He had excellent recomendations, was on top of everything. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the trout entree and the beet salad.

We had all visited Meriwether in 2015 and found it terrific. This year the experience was very different and disappointing. The meal started with the soup of the day, which lacked taste and substance. More disappointing were our entrees. Two of our party had lamb, which was tough, had little meat, and was presented like an end piece that no... More
