If you like good southern style food, this is the place. Probably my favorite in Portland. You will have to wait a while for dinner seating, but it is well worth it. There wasn't anything on the menu that I would not order. A must...More

We waited almost an hour today get in. But it was worth it! The coffee is excellent. We had a great server and fast, efficient service. The food is obviously the star. Our four meals were each excellent, hot and interesting. No boring breakfasts here....More

This place is really busy but worth the wait. They have a great variety of Southern food and we'll certainly be going back the next time we're in Portland.

The fried chicken is so good. The coating is delicious. The chicken is moist. The mashed potatoes were decent. My bf had the fried clams he said it was one of the best he has had.

Been here a few times, and each was equally rewarding. My guests and I expect it to be good, and we're never disappointed.

Well worth the wait in line to experience the culinary creations and delicious service . If the food and atmosphere weren't enough to capture your interest, the biceps on Black Magic ought to do it for you. Thanks Anthony !!

Screen Door presents a revival of regional American cuisine, a survey of the south, from South Carolina Lowcountry cuisine to soul food and Cajun one-pot cookery to the refined Creole and French preparations found in New Orleans. We celebrate Southern cuisine from the quintessential hearty fare to the everyday foods gathered fresh from the garden. At Screen Door we serve natural, local and organic produce and meats everyday. Central to our concept is weaving the rich bounty of local fresh produce found here in the Pacific Northwest into our menu.
