I eat here often and find their food and service way above average. The food is always fresh and served with a smile.

The Fishing Hole in Shady Cove, if you are in the area you must stop in get a cup of joe (the way you like it) or soup or salad or a sandwich. I had the pleasure to visit this fine family owned establishment. Loves all the fun things they carry and enjoyed a delightful bowl of home made soup.... More

We are on a road trip with a group. About 15 of us us turned up here for lunch. They dealt with us quickly and the food was ice and the service was friendly. I had the soup and bread and s hot chocolate and would certainly recommend it.

Liked getting to look at the adjoining fishing shop and yarn shop while waiting for our sandwiches. Bought a couple local grocery items (honey, peach BBQ sauce) to take back as gifts. The smoothies we got were quite good (peach-pear-apricot and strawberry-banana), and the brownies were huge and tasty. The sandwiches, sadly, were only so-so. My husband's pesto-turkey sandwich was... More

Great little deli with yummy sandwiches/salads that are perfect to take on your daily adventures. They also had coffee, smoothies, and fishing supplies. As a knitter, my favorite thing was the wool and fleece in the yarn store. I definitely recommend this place.

Great food, great people and fair prices. It's easy to miss this spot when driving thru town but you will miss the best sandwich shop in Shady Cove...

We gather pretty regularly at the Picnic Basket. We head to the back for a bit of girl time. They have all the things you'd expect from a deli: meats, gourmet cheese, salads, sandwiches, soups, smoothies, coffee, tea, mochas, etc. Food is pricey for Shady Cove area. Attached are two shops - one with yarns, gourmet foods, pottery, and the... More

This is such a nice friendly shop while visiting Shady Cove, for rafting or fishing. The sandwiches are really tasty and staff are helpful to your needs.
