I took a walk through the woods to the south of town with the idea of getting some exercise before eating and ended up here. The menu offers choices not typical, a nice change for those of us who travel. I had The Good Earth and am compelled to say it was absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to be back... More

We've eaten here several times over the last couple of years. Flatbreads and salads are wonderful. Occasionally we have room for dessert - the chocolate cake is highly recommended. A nice bonus is wandering through the connected art gallery while you wait for your meal to be served.

Open Door is a restaurant you love to find when you are visiting a new place. It is quaint, great food and service. Family owned. Loved all the art in there. Definitely worth making a trip there. It's a little difficult to find. It's on a corner and the sign is small. Take time to find it, it's worth it.

We had reservations at 7:15. Got served at 9:00. Food was not exciting and certainly not worth the wait. The ambience of the place is good and we ended up being "comped" the entire meal and wine, so the owner/staff are aware that they did not have their act together the night we were there. If you go (and others... More

Very good dinner, fresh ingredients, good bread, good wine. We were seated in the entrance hallway, which has canvas-covered openings that can be opened in the summer. It was a cool evening so the shades were down, and lap robes were available to keep legs warm. We'd called just 2 hours in advance, it is a busy restaurant, so this... More

Delicious salads, sandwiches and they are so ready to adjust to make your meal a winner. My friend needed a simple lunch-just some bread with turkey and a cup of soup-our server was so gracious and willing to bring her exactly what she wanted. The other sandwiches (the Sam hammie and the Monroe) were delicious (the plates were cleaned!). The... More

This is a fun little place for eating, wine and beer tasting, exploring local art and enjoying the outdoor patio and games area. The food and service is good. Not a huge menu but good choices. We have eaten here a few times and it is always good, lunch or dinner.

I am never disappointed in the quality of the food that is served....The price may seem a little spendy at first glance but the portions are pretty fair... I usually have the fresh fresh dishes and have never been disappointed. My only complaint would be the bar (drinks) prices....I had a gin and tonic and the price I believe was... More
