We were here 4 years ago and liked it, but just returned under the new management and Wow! Amazing food, great service, hands down the best in Sunriver. Don't get me wrong - we love the brewing company, bar and grill, etc but the food and service here are heads and shoulders above. Our somewhat picky kids were happy here... More

Played golf with a member at Crosswater and he said the South Bend Bistro in Sunriver village was the best place in the whole resort. My oh my what great salmon and halibut we had. We had a wonderful dinner on their deck. There are new owners this past year but still great food. We all had the pistachio encrusted halibut with pesto gnocchi. Delicious flavors and the halibut almost melted in your mouth. Great attentive service also. I am a big water drinker and they took great care of me. We will be back... More

We tried this restaurant this past week and thought the food was delicious. It is only a dinner house. I had the pistachio crusted halibut and my husband tried the steak. This restaurant really surprised us. We were expecting a very casual type of dinner. We had a great upscale dinner. Don't come if you're in a hurry. They give you plenty of time between courses. Also you need to make a reservation!

Sunriver has plenty of perfectly fine options for burgers, pizza, and standard fare but few if any fine dining options. South Bend Bistro has changed that. Keep in mind that Sunriver in August is a vacation Mecca for families Most of the restaurant in the Village have to cater to families, large groups and kids running around. This is such a great addition to Sun River dining...Everything we ordered with our guests was so awesome...Halibut, razor clams, salads, desserts...wanted more! We had dinner and I ordered the charcuterie plate which was great. I recommend the truffle cheese, tomato jam, proscuitto and fennel salami. The pasta dish with cream sauce, shrimp and languistinos was great too! A little on the spendy side but good service and food.

Wonderful place to sit on the deck and enjoy a summertime dinner. Wait staff very friendly and accomodating. Menu has a wide variety. One could have a salad and Tapas, or just the entree.
