This is a wonderful friendly place. Busy all the time and they still went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We have been there a couple of time and most of the food is delicious. One item, their beef brisket, is tough as nails and with out barbeque sauce, tasteless. Came out in cubes, not sure why. Other that, their food comes in good portions, and very tasty. Many choices on their menu, so you will for sure find something you like. Known for their barbequed items. Desserts, outstanding! They have a nice bar area with tables. Always seems to be a favorite spot. Service could not have been better. Rare these days so we really appreciated it. Anxious to go back.

My husband and I read a number of reviews of Point Phillips Hotel and were certain we would have an enjoyable experience. We arrived by 4 pm on Sunday and the dining rooms were not crowded at that time. The waitress took our order and served the food in a timely manner. However she never informed us there was barbecue sauce on the table and didn't check back with us until we were almost finished eating. Our meals were served lukewarm and the smoked brisket was dry and not very tender. Our total for two entrees was about $50 before tax and tip. We're not concerned about the cost of dinner, but we're disappointed in the service, temperature of our meals and the quality of our dinners. My husband and I agree we will not be returning to Point Phillips Hotel due to our negative experience. We suggest you consider the options when selecting a restaurant.

We had to make last minute dinner arrangements. Called explained situation and that my dad is now wheel chair bound could they assist. Not only did they assist they went above and beyond! Everyone should support this locally owned restaurant that does a stellar job on all fronts.

Always have an excellent meal here. Are they the best ribs ever? No…but they’re the best you’ll find in this region. The meat falls off the bone and the sauce is not overpowering. My wife loves the Pork and Sauerkraut meal…I usually go for the ribs. Today I tried the pork tips burnt ends. They were fine…I would order again…but I’d rather have the ribs! Their pirogies are excellent as well as their chili. Try it I think you’ll like it.

Good smoke flavor on both.  Brisket was a tad dry - as lean brisket tends to be.  Baked beans above average as was the hard-to-get German potato salad.  Hearty portions and friendly staff mean they just make excellent rating.

LIBBY, our server, ROCKED! Just discovered this restaurant and couldn't wait to visit this Tuesday in early April, 2022 because even though the dining room was busy, the pleasant hostesses, Becca & Lana, told us we were in luck with a cozy booth back by the bar. Then Libby showed up as our server with her engaging personality and helpful attitude. We ordered fried shrimp (frozen) with bang bang sauce on side ($8.99) for appetizer. My entree of Faroe Island Pecan crusted Salmon topped with a creamy, sweet sauce was cooked just right but next time will order the sauce on side as it overshadowed the delicate flavor of fish. (Fresh mango salsa would be better served) Accompanied by loaded bake potato (up charge of $1.99) and that huge side salad of spring mix, red onion, croutons, cucumbers, grape tomatoes and shredded cheese, topped with their homemade bacon dressing (up charge $2.49) Oh my! My hubs ordered the half rack ribs, the mixed greens salad with a side serving of that awesome Mac & cheese. Really good. ($19.99) Couple mugs of birch beer ($2.25 each serving) and quite satisfied with every bite! Kudos to the kitchen staff for great efforts to serve delicious, comfort food!

We went with other people who have been there and we took their lead. The place was packed on a Tuesday!!! Always a good sign. The staff was really friendly. The pirogies were delicious and the chicken sandwich that was on the special was juicy and huge!

Ate here Saturday night- it was busy but was handled like pros. The wings were some of the best I ever had as was the Medallion special. Its nice to eat somewhere that everything we had was good and you can tell the chefs, waitstaff and cooks care about what they serve. We will be back.

This laid back country drinking hole hits the spot with bbq themed tavern fair. I had the Hickory Smoked Prime Rib Cheesesteak Melt topped with caramelized onion, mushroom, melted cheddar jack cheese, and creamy horseradish sauce and served hot on a toasted brioche bun with house fried chips and an order of pulled pork as well with applesauce.

We went here on a Wednesday night and they were pretty busy. As a matter of fact they were not seating people coming in without a reservation. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. They have a very good lager beer on tap with their name on it and for everyone sold they donate money to the local fire company. I love the pierogies they serve here so we started with them. Yummy! Our meals came out hot and tasty. Everyone was happy with their meals. We don’t get here very often but always look forward to returning again soon.

Point Phillips continues to do a fabulous job providing reasonably priced food that will have you coming back constantly. One word of advice, reservations are must! During our recent visit we saw numerous people coming in and had to leave for not having a reservation. Point Phillips definitely draws a crowd on any given day of the week. Having numerous meals for our party of 4 not one person had any complaints. Our choices were , the beef skillet fry, a patty melt, and two smokehouse sampler platters. All meals except the patty melt came with two sides leaving no one hungry.

First let me begin with the waitress. She was great! Now for the food. I was really hungry for Brisket. What they are passing for brisket is roast beef. It wasn't smoked. I can make this at home in a crock pot. Maybe people in this area can be fooled, but we ate at the Salt Lick in Tx numerous times and we know what real brisket is. We could of spent the 60.00 on a real brisket and smoked it ourselves.

Recently discovered and can’t get enough of everything offered. Food is creative without being too fancy. Perfectly prepared and paired each time! That’s just the beginning though because the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. It’s in a fully renovated two-hundred year old inn which is beautiful inside. There’s weekly unique specials, great beer selection, and friendly service.

Came here with family and friends. We are inside as the skies opened as we arrived. This 1700 building that was a Genersl store has been made into a Hôtel, smoking house and a restaurant. A large bar room up front sports loads of beer on table and about another 20 bottled. Food is yummy especially the burnt ends of both pork and brisket. Their sides are good and save room fir chocolate torte cake Good values and pretty good service make this a new favorite of mine. Open at 4 during the week and at noon on weekends book ahead as they are a busy spot
