Monica, the proprietor, has an amazing amount of experience in the preparation and serving of "country style foods". The Brass Pelican has a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu available. One of my favorites is the "old fashioned sourdough buckwheat cakes". However, I've never been disappointed in any thing I've eaten at the Brass Pelican and I have eaten there... More

I have visited the Brass Pelican at least once monthly for 13 years for breakfast. Famous for their buckwheat cakes. I've tried many breakfast choices over the years and enjoyed them all. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Really great home town atmosphere. I prefer gourmet foods cooked with herbs & seasonings, so this was not my preference in cuisine but I went with a group, and the socialization was great.

The Pelican's sourdough buckwheat cakes are THE BEST...nice and thin, slightly sour, great with syrup. All of the menu choices are very good to excellent; and the portions are large. Your fault if you go away hungry.

I was there with a church group for a luncheon. My first time there and I would go back. Great food. Home made desserts. Great small town feel. Alot of history on the walls.

I love this restaurant for their amazing sourdough buckwheat pancakes. I cannot find them anywhere else. Their sausage patties are fresh and delicious. I always feel so full after eating a delicious breakfast here. The omelets are really great as well. The other meals of the day must also be good because they are always pretty busy. I recommend their... More

Our first visit last spring was with friends. Granted, the oysters and stew were good. About six weeks ago we made another trip, and they were closed. The website indicated they should have been open. Ugh! Tonight, I called first to see if we needed a reservation and to make sure they had oysters. She said they had two servings... More
