Went here with DH, since it was only the 2 of us we didn't do the family style and ordered a la carte. I thought the food was quite good although definitely not the place to go when on a diet! Fried chicken was very good as were the sides, although I felt everything was very buttery (but I like... More

We were part of a group who carpooled to see Samson at the Sight & Sound Theater. Our leader had made arrangements with the restaurant for group seating prior to our trip. The service was excellent. The fried chicken was some of the best we have ever had. My kids loved the chicken legs and our server was so nice... More

We came here for the Amish Experience Tour and enjoyed a nice lunch here first. They offer "family style" dining on a long table with other guest, or private table with your group. We opted for the private table. The food was "homestyle" cooking and very good. My husband enjoyed the meatloaf and my son had the spicy chicken sandwich... More

I came to Plain & Fancy as part of a group of 10 that was going to see a show at Light & Sound. We made reservations in advance and we were promptly seated upon our arrival. Since we were a group of 10, we had the entire table to ourselves for the family-style dinner. (If you are dining family-style... More

Arrived for the first seating this year at 11:30. We were early so spent happy minutes in the gift shop. They were very organized and even with parties of 17, 13 , 15 to our 4, we were seated at 11:35. The salads came right away with yummy vadalia onion dressing, then the frosted breads and some rolls. Soon the... More

We had been to several of the other "buffet" style restaurants in the area and found the food at Plain and Fancy to be more flavorful and authentic to the community.

This restaurant is attached to the gift shop which is attached to the movie theater. Lots of local style foods to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. The corn chowder was delicious and I found a recipe card for it in the gift shop. A very nice place to get some hearty food.

Our group had a day trip and thank goodness we had lunch here yesterday. We were met by a smiling hostess and our group were seated promptly. It was mind blowing of how much food we were given. It was a smorgasbord of you name it that we had for lunch. Everything was homemade and delicious. I myself loved the... More

Lovely place in one of the Amish villages around Lancaster. There is a choice of a la cart meals or pure Amish style 'feast' meal. We tried both now and they are both great. Could be busy on friday/saturday evenings so prepare for a 30-45 minute wait. This is not a real problem because there is a nice gift shop... More
