One person waiting, bussing, everything out front, but she did okay. It wasn't too busy when we were there at breakfast. Food was okay, and really inexpensive and it came pretty quick. Regular diner atmosphere inside.

Live in the area and have been here only a handful of times because I'm never impressed..today was no different. The food was good, but the service, so so...my friend asked for something she never got, the toast came like 5 min after the meal and had hardly and butter, the waitress gave us the bill without any prices on... Always great service. Food is always great. Good size portions. Never wait long to be served or to get your food. Definitely stop if you are by there.

Went there for lunch during the weekday. Found the place in need of a good vacuuming. Debris all over the floors. Not too many customers. Host, cashier, & waitress seemed to be very indifferent. Ordered a Club Sandwich. Nothing spectacular. Pricing was moderate. Went back on a Sunday for breakfast. Floors were cleaned. Host & cashier still seemed like they... More

I have been coming to this area since 2003 and never heard about this little gem until other guests at Split Rock Resort talked about it .... It sits back off the road with adequate parking in front .. Very dated decor but clean and I am not eating the decor! I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu the first night... More

Set your expectations correctly. This is a landmark diner. It's been here a while. Expect good food, incredibly low prices, and attentive service. And, if you are lucky, you might hear the manager say something humorous.

Stopped by here looking for where family cabin rental was. Now a cult-de-sac and loaded with McMansions. (Was much nicer as open space) But real estate developers have tried to develop every square inch here. This place has been here for some time. Not your normal greasy spoon but rather a real restaurant. No matter what you order it will... More

I have not been in this area for many many years. originally in the late sixties early seventies this place was called the Blakeslee Inn. The original Blakeslee Inn not the one on route 940. It was run by a couple named Helen and Charlie it was a beef and beer type bar. Very good sandwiches back then. I found... More

The food is satisfactory given the slightly elevated dinner prices. The best bet is to hit the early bird specials...otherwise you might not be that pleased. While the waitresses are quite accommodating... it's evident the owners children make this their 2nd home while school is out. My advice to the owners... invest a little in your premises....reach a little higher... More
